The fan clutch assembly failed and as a result the drive mode would not change from tow/haul mode to any of the other 4 drive modes. Accelerations and decelerations were negatively affected as a result creating safety hazards when driving. The engine was always responding as if a trailer were attached and subsequently accelerations were difficult and decelerations consistently utilized the trailer engine braking system, similar to semi-trucks utilizing the jake-braking systems, this is a significant safety issue and needs to have a recall issued for the replacement of these fan clutch assemblies.

My truck started "the death wobble" a few years ago. I have replaced shocks, tires and ball joints. The problem recently became almost undriveable on the highway as any small bump at a legal (70 mph) triggered 5 instances on a trip to and from a destination that was 70 miles away via the interstate. I have ordered additional parts based on internet research to try to fix this issue, however in my research it is clear the is a common issue. Why is this allowed to continue?.

The steering wheel all of a sudden got really loose and will pull away from the steering column. I called Ford service at the dealership I bought it from. They said my extended warranty has just expired. They also say there are no active recalls for this issue. This is not something that should ever happen. I have never had this problem with and vehicle I have ever owned in the 30 + years of owning and driving. Is there anything that can be done to have them cover this repair?.

Violent shaking , wobbling of the steering wheel.
While traveling down the road a bump or dip in the road causes the front wheels begin to shake and jerk violently causing the vehicle to drift over the road and loose steering control. This situation is amplified when carrying or pulling a load and is extremely difficult to manage and stop once started. Braking exacerbates the situation resulting in almost loosing control. This has happed multiple times, multiple dates over the years, at different speeds usually over 45mph.

I experienced what is known as the “death wobble” after contacting a bumpy road at approximately 70 mph. I was able to exit the freeway and determine that it wasn’t a blown tire or some other condition that caused this. After some research on my vehicle, I determined that this “death wobble” is fairly common with my model and year of truck.
Truck has a random death wabble and differnt speeds. I've taken the truck to three differnt Ford dealers multiple times and they alll can't find any worn parts, the dealers all with say Ford knows there is a saftey issue with the trucks but don't have a real fix for the issue. Several other Ford owners have the same issues.
My truck has the death wobble for the second time. I took it to red mccombs Ford in san antonio, texas and they charged me to fix what is an inherently bad design flaw in the f350 that I own. The wobble stopped and has now reappeared. The death wobble is real. I want it fixed for free or I want Ford to buy my truck for top dollar.

2012 f350 lariat 4x4, 125000 miles. While driving at 65 mph. I hit a spilt in the highway and the truck went into a death wobble, the most violent and scary thing to experience on the crowded highway. Only thing I could do was let it slow down coasting when it finally went away I accelerated back to highway speed and hit yet another bump in the highway and it went into another death wobble so violent I could not control the truck. This truck has no lift and is stock. This will kill someone one day or cause a serious accident. Ford should own this defect and fix it before they responsible for actual death.
I’ve been having repeated issue with a death wobble I’ve replaced my draglink and tie rod end and it hasn’t helped in the slightest.

I was driving on an interstate at about 70mph and I hit a bump that sent my front end into a terrible wobble. I could not regain control and literally had to slow down by braking and pulling off the road. I am lucky I was in the right lane, or I would have been in trouble as it would not stop shaking until I got down to about 20mph. I could not steer the vehicle until it was at the lower speed limit. It was the worst feeling I have ever experienced. I have been driving for over 45 years and this is the scariest situation I have faced. This happened again a few days later, however it was at only 50 mph and in a banking turn. I was able to get over to shoulder again. My f350 has 56,000 miles. I have good tires, and the air pressure was correct both times it happened. I have an appointment to take my vehicle to the dealer.
Death wobble happened 5 times driving on the interstate. Couldn’t control steering and everything was violently shaking.

Steering wheel misalignment, 2024 Ford F-350 platinum (VIN: [xxx] ) I am submitting a safety-related defect complaint involving a visibly off-center steering wheel in my 2024 Ford F-350 platinum. The steering wheel remains misaligned to the left when the vehicle is traveling straight, impacting driver perception, confidence, and potentially overall safety. In January 2025, the dealership performed a front-end alignment in response to my concern, acknowledging it as a deviation from acceptable standards. However, when the issue persisted, Ford reversed course and claimed the off-center wheel was an intentional design feature called “clear vision,” supposedly meant to improve gauge visibility and compensate for road crown. This “feature” is not documented in any Ford manuals, bulletins, training, or consumer-facing materials. Ford’s April 2025 written response to bbb autoline leaned on this “clear vision” claim, but during a may 2025 arbitration hearing, Ford’s representative admitted a repair was attempted to address the issue. These contradictory statements raise questions about Ford’s transparency and accountability. There is no engineering justification for a visibly misaligned steering wheel to be presented as a feature, especially in a $95,000 vehicle. I urge NHTSA to investigate whether Ford is misusing this terminology to conceal defects in its 2024 super duty platform, and whether this violates federal safety or design standards. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Experiencing severe death wobble since August 2024, problem continues today at speeds of 60-70mph on curve and/or hard bump in roadway. Mechanic has replace all front end suspension and steering "wear parts". Have replaced all 4 shock absorbers. Replaced all rubber body bushings, which were rotted or partially disintegrated. Problem still persists. Mechanics have no solutions and have given up. I am afraid to drive my truck over 50mph. Help.
Front steering/suspension system severe wobble causes driver to stop in middle of freeway, possible accidents or death in an accident. Not confirmed by dealer at this time. Hundreds have reported here, and the same occured. Not at this time. No warnings prior to all of the failures. So far 12 failures yes, 12 failures.
