Steering Noise Problems of Ford Flex

Tl the contact owns a 2013 Ford Flex. When making a turn, the steering made abnormal noises. There were no warning indicators illuminated. Fox grand traverse (3464 us-31, traverse city, mi 49684, (231) 922-2000) informed the contact that the rack and pinion needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

In 2015 ,I purchased a 2013 Ford Flex from my local dealership. About a week ago I started noticing a noise coming from the steering wheel while driving , and also while the vehicle was parked . Took the car to dealership, just to find out that the vehicle had "no recalls" of course, and quoted me $2,100 to get it fixed . I was like are you kiddind me? this car still under the 100k mile warranty, and they're answer was sorry sir I'm only here to deliver the news. Any help ? can't believe Ford .

I was backing my car into a parking space, turning my wheel all the way to the right when I hearo and felt a noise in the steering column and then all power steering assist completely ended making the car go into manual steering mode. Very difficult to steer and potentially hazardous being so sudden. There is a recall out for the power assist steering already and my Flex fits all the same criteria as the recall yet its not involved in the recall. Same plant, same building year, same model year, and same area affected as other cars in the recall but my VIN isn't included. This is nothing that I've done to the vehicle personally to make the power steering malfunction. I believe it's a manufacturer error that needs replaced in the recall. It could have been very dangerous as I was in an elementary school parking lot with alot of little kids walking around also have 3 in the car with me. My husband was lied to multiple times over the phone from fm employees about the nature of this recall and how or why our vehicle wasn't included. Our vehicle came out of the same plant during the same time the other affected vehicles did and is having the same issues as those affected and should be covered under the recall.

The contact stated that while,driving at various speeds and making turns there was an abnormal squeaking noise emerging from the steering wheel there were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to blueberry Ford, inc. 241 dublin st, machias, me 04654 (207) 255-4747 who stated the vehicle was working as designed. The vehicle was taken to darling's Ford Volkswagen Audi 403 hogan rd, bangor, me 04401 (207) 941-1330 who stated that it was normal wear and tear ,where diagnosed that the sway bar, control bar bushing, and steering rack needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted who provided case number cas24223378 but no further assistance was provided. ,the failure mileage was 25,000 ap.
