1 Driveline Center Support Bearing problem of the 2008 Ford Fusion

Failure Date: 09/01/2015

While driving there is a loud humming sound, the vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic, the center support bearing is bad, and drive shaft is rusted, almost solid. The vehicle miles are far too low for this to be normal wear and tear.

2 Driveline Center Support Bearing problem of the 2008 Ford Fusion

Failure Date: 06/11/2014

This car is all wheel drive. The center support bearings also called carrier bearings on the center driveshaft going from the power take off unit to the rear differential went bad making a very loud roaring noise. As a mechanic myself, trucks have these bearings and they rarely go bad if at all but at high mileages. Failure at 35000 miles is unheard of.
