In August 2019 I reported to Ford that the brake lights were staying on all the time even when the car was shut off. I was still able to drive my car (Ford Fusion hybrid 2015) to the Ford dealer ship in sarasota. I was told they have to keep the car because it's a danger and not legal to drive with that kind of defect of my brake lights. I had to pay $ 1115. 24 for the repair of the car . Ford had to replace the brake pedal assembly. My car was in the shop for a month. They also replaced the steering wheel bolt which was a recall 18s08. In my opinion I paid for a repair that is now a recall. Will I be able to get my money back and a compensation for not having a car for 1 month provided we are talking here about the same issue?.

Took my car in to have the airbag safety recall repaired last week. Had not driven at night until 2 days ago and noticed my low beam lights are no longer working. I have checked the fuses, light bulbs, and even replaced the headlamp switch but nothing. The Ford dealership where I had it repaired stated the repair would not affect my lights. Had the car for the past 4 years and never had a problem until now. Too coincidental.

In the summer of last year 2018 I was in a store shopping came out cranked my car, the air would not come on and the windows would not roll down. It was in the 90's that day and even hotter inside my car! the vehicle was stationary at the time in the parking lot. It had this problem the rest of the summer while the temperatures outside was hot. It is April 2019 and just a few days ago we had a warm day around 75 degrees. I left for work stopped at the end of my driveway had the car in park and left my door open while I got the mail. Got back in and again did not have air and could not roll the windows down. Every time this happens the radio will not work either. Last year during the time the air and windows were not working my battery was dead when I was going to go to work one morning. Took it out and went and had it tested at local auto parts store. They said they had never seen a battery that they couldn't read like that before. It's like the battery was fried. Along with those problems last year my car was stationary at home in my driveway and I went to get in my car and my doors were locked I tried the remote and the keyless entry and nothing would unlock my doors. So I had no access to get into my car. A few days later I tried again and it unlocked. I've also came home a couple times at night in the past week and noticed the inside lights where the air/heat & radio controls are is flashing on and off and the outside ground lights under the mirrors on the driver and passenger door are on. I had to unhook battery. No keys in ignition and car is stationary in my driveway. I think this is a major safety issue when you have no air and you can't roll down your windows in hot weather and also when you get locked out of your car. The car is definitely not drivable in hot weather! unknown cause, may possibly be something in the computer or wiring of the car.

Driving steady state on normal state highway road surface in dry daylight conditions, the vehicle began chiming and displaying a long sequence of error messages and mils. After a few seconds, speedometer zeroed and cluster lost power. Center stack then lost power. The vehicle had no exterior lights, no horn. Vehicle "believes" ignition is off, therefore no airbags. After pulling over and a key off/ key on, vehicle was normal for a couple minutes, then repeated this problem. Vehicle has been to 2 different dealers for this intermittent issue. First issue was with vehicle under warranty and dealer found no problem other than long list of codes. 2nd dealer in Dec 2018 performed repair detailed on TSB to wrap chaffed wire. Problem occurred again Jan 23 and 26, 2019. Additionally today vehicle will not start.
I was driving on the highway and the main screen in the center of the dashboard turned off and had the message 'turning off system to save battery'. This was not an accurate projection by the car system being that I just recently installed a brand new battery a couple of days prior. As the car system continued to shut down, the alert of 'system charging service now' showed up on the dash. Following that message the power steering completely shut down. Shortly there after, the entire electrical system shut down in my car. Lights, steering, dashboard, electronic seats, doors, gear shift, everything! this all happened in the span of 1 minute or so on a highway at 11pm at night. I almost got into an inescapable acccident trying to find somewhere to get the car off the highway. Shortly there after the engine also cut off due to not getting any power from the car system. This is very unfortunate because this car is only 2 years old and I bought the car brand new off the lot.

My 2013 Ford Fusion is experiencing an issue with the climate control system and the window controls. I have lost communication with the front control interface module, door control module a, and door control module b. When this happens, my ecm displays the following codes, p193e: a/c clutch request signal, u0199: lost communication with door control module a, u0200: lost communication with door control module b, and u0256: lost communications front controls interface module. This happens quite frequently, and it has happened when my car is in motion and when my car is stationary. Sometimes this happens when I start my car and sometimes this happens when I am driving. To be clear, I have no air conditioning, no ventilation, and I can not roll down my windows. To make matters worse, this seems to happen more frequently when the temperature outside is towards 90 or more degrees fahrenheit. This means the interior temperature of the care gets to be very hot. In my experience, the only way to fix this issue is to disconnect the battery terminals and then reconnect them but this only offers a temporary fix to the problem.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph the vehicle stalled while completely shutting off with no warning lights illuminating. The contact also mentioned that when the vehicle sits for a while it would restart but the instrument panel will not light back up. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for a diagnostic test or repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000. Dr.
My car windows will go up and then automatic come back down. The radio switchs channels on its own. The car stalls out and won't start. This has happen and gotten repaired more than 6 times in the last 1. 5 years. It has happened again this pass weekend. My local Ford dealership is going to fix again. As of now I am paying for a car that Ford keeps saying does not fit under the maryland lemon law. This car clearly has some serious electrical issues that Ford does not even understand. I am putting the latest date on it, but it has happen multiple times in the last year and a half. These problems occur while driving or stopped at a light or parked.

Error message on instrument panel displays "temporarily lost communication with the climate system" when this happens the climate system, radio, windows, and seat controls stop working, this happens randomly and can last as long as a week. Many owners with several different Ford models are experiencing this problem and Ford refuses to acknowledge it.
This vehicle has had a dead battery 3 times after sitting overnight. No extra power draws we added. The last resulted with the engine light on once it was jump started. The engine code that was on was a p068a ecm/pcm power relay DE-energized performance - too early. This vehicle has already been brought into the dealership where they performed a battery test and reprogrammed the modules. This was less than 1 month till it happened again.

Standard front lights are insufficient to see clearly. Design flaw makes it impossible and costly to buy your own brighter bulb(sulvaniabright white)and have it installed, costing upwards of $400. Remedy; instruct Ford to cover the cost of insullating internal if customer buys a better bulb. And reduce cost of intalling.
Spent several hundred $ s' having hid headlamps installed which helped, cannot drive after dark, because I can't see the side of the road at all when turning in either direction, have almost been hit twice, I have a safe driver, license and do not want to be in an accident, this vehicle is useless if I cannot drive at night when needed, I see this vehicle is also listed as having bad lighting on your website, f or motor CO should have a recall to replace the substandard headlamps on this vehicle, worst I have ever encountered in my life !.
November 2016 while I was coming from the grocery store my car suddenly stalled and completely stopped. I immediately started the car back up and drove for a good 2 minutes and it did the same thing, but this time I was in the street. After letting my vehicle sit for 15 minutes it did eventually start back up and drove smoothly. But that wasn't the last time my car would just suddenly stop. In December I took my car to the dealership for an oil change and told them what had happen to my car. The check my fluids and told me nothing was wrong (which was a lie). Everyday since November if I drive my car too much, it shuts off. If I am on the freeway in traffic, my car will just turn off. Now February, I received an error message (engine coolant over temperature) and my car will not move at all. Call Ford motor and was told my car wasn't included in the recall in regards to the engine, contact the dealership and I have to pay for it to be towed to them , because the part might not be included in my warranty. My car has 76,000. I do my oil changes and maintenance on time, and always go to the dealership. My car lights in the inside turns on while I'm driving without me even pushing them (creepy). My seat belt doesn't really restrain me and my seat doesn't really move back and forwards like it should.
Taillights sockets are discolored and burnt looking. The plastic that holds the socket is melted.
While driving on the highway my 2014 Fusion cut off. A warning indicator popped up that said "transmission not in park". We had to coast off to the shoulder, fortunately there were no cars in the lane we had to cross to get to the shoulder. Later today (the same day) it happened a second time. The car loses all power. We were driving past the dealership we use, so we left the car with them to be fixed and have the oil changed. We will be waiting for the outcome the first of the week, but felt it necessary to report this since others have had the same issue.
This car has a major problem with the gauges that also prevents the air conditioning and radio working properly plus certain external lights and directional lights as well as the high beam indicator. This is going on almost a year now and the gauges will "black out" as well so you cant see how fast you are going or other functions. This should be a major safety concern. I do have some video of the problem I will attach. This happens all the time if the car is sitting or in motion. For some reason I cant post the video of the problem but there are plenty of the same ones on you tube.
My right rear taillight has burned, causing the bulb to melt in the socket, possible fire hazard I would think. Socket & the bulb have been replaced. Both the Ford dealership & retail auto parts store, have denied any knowledge of this issue.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. While driving at dusk or dawn, the headlamp beams were too dim to project a visible light to safely operate the vehicle. The dealer diagnosed that the headlamps operated as intended. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred on several occasions. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 100. The VIN was not available.
The headlights are so foggy that night driving is dangerous. I applied a liquid to the exterior of both lights and that improved visibility for about a year. I believe this is caused by a reaction to the plastic used on the lenses. The vehicle is available for inspection however I have not taken it to a dealership for this problem. I have noticed this headlight problem on other vehicles.

I am facing electrical issue in my car very frequently. The electrical problem occurs two ways, 1) while running 2) while starting the car while running:- when the electrical issue come while car is running then the below problem occurs, 1. Transmission should not be set to parking, if set to parking then we cannot move to neutral or drive. It will be stuck and tow is the only option. 2. Turn lights will not work. 3. Head lights will not work. 4. Door glass sliding will not work. 5. Ac will not work 6. Car display will not work for clock am/fm 2) while starting the car:- if the problem occurs while starting the car then I will be able to only start the car and the automatic transmission will not work. We cannot move the transmission from parking to neutral or drive. Towing the vehicle is the only option. This is dangerous while driving at night, I got this issue one time at night and I got the tough time in towing the car and getting to service centre. As the service centre is always busy they wont get the time to diagnosis immediately and at the time of they check it work properly. Any way they were not able to find any issues with me car. But when I take the car back to home the electrical issue often occurs. No one assure of the safety, and I am trying my best to drive at night and highways. Extremely dangerous.
Taillight sockets burned out requiring replacement.

I moved the turn indicator lever up turn right and the quick blinker sound began. From past experience, I knew that a light bulb may be burned out. The bulb could not be checked alone because it wouldnt come out of the socket; the blackened blown bulb was fused to the socket. I replaced the entire socket/bulb set ($30. 13 socket and $6 for a set of 2 bulbs). The next day, I moved the turn indicator lever down to turn left and the quick blinker sound began again. Again, the bulb alone could not be removed. The left blackened blown bulb and socket are fused. I have never had a bulb fuse into the socket before, let alone having it happen to two in a span of 24 hrs. The fuses to the lights were not burned out - there was no warning displayed to advise of a potential fire hazard. We spoke to our sales representative, since this was purchased by us 3 months ago as a preowned vehicle w/a 12month warranty. He said he was unaware of any issues and directed us to the service dept. Our call was directed to an answering machine. We will follow through.
Low beam head light passenger side has dimmed reflective surface appears cloudy as per recall 12c27 was originated to address, this vehicle conforms to this recall's manufacture date of October 04-2012 and at the affected facility of hermosillo, mexico, the dealer was contacted yet refuses to honor the repair stating that my vehicle is not affected by this recall!.
While driving my 2013 Ford Fusion I suddenly lost power steering control. There were two alarm messages service advance trac and hill start assist unavailable. This is the second time this has happened with this car. The first time was in 2014 and davidson Ford of watertown NY fixed the issue then.
Started up the vehicle in the morning after sitting all night, buzzers, warning lights and messages popped up on the instrument cluster. "hill assist not available" "service advance trac" two light are also illuminated, traction control and stability control. The short 3 flash signals work but the sustained flash will not, the signal will flash once and shut off. The biggest safety concern is the power steering assist does not work. It will actually jerk the steering wheel in the opposite direction! unfortunately I had to drive the vehicle 40 miles to work. It grinds and pops as the wheel is turned like it is trying to rip the tie rods loose. I am automotive savvy and felt I could handle driving it, however if my wife was to drive this vehicle I would fear there would've been an accident.
One of the headlamps went out 2 years ago and it is dealer only repair for $250.
I was exiting a freeway when I experienced my first problem. In the middle of traffic, my car shut off and I lost most functionality of the vehicle. The dashboard displayed an alert ¿transmission not in park. I was driving normally and did not press any buttons or make any adjustments to the gears. He only thing that was functioning was the brakes and steering wheel, I had no control over the gas. The problem happened again the next day. I was speeding up to get on to the freeway when my car shut off again, displaying the same message. However, this time, because it was night, the lights powered off and it was difficult to see what was ahead of me. I turned on my hazards and was forced to pull over to the side, place the car in park and restart the ignition and continue on. I called about the issue as soon as the Ford dealership opened the next day. They told me to bring it right in. However, the problem happened again before I had a chance to bring it in. I was driving on the freeway when I was trying to pass an 18 wheeler. I successfully passed the truck, but after I did, the power shut off again and I was sandwiched between two 18 wheelers. The next day, I brought the vehicle into the dealership. They took it off my hands for about a week while they tested it for problems. I received a call and the representative said that they fixed a cable that appeared to be loose that might have led to the problem, and also gave the car a software update. I was pleased with the response. A week later I was driving back home when the car shut off again. I immediately drove the car to the dealership. I called the Ford care team and they said they would open a case for a buyback. On sept 23, I received a voicemail from the dealership saying that they could not fix the vehicle because when they tested it it was functioning as it should. They can and will not fix or replace the vehicle.
Tl the contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the low beam was too dim causing the visibility to become poor from a distance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000. Pam.
All rear light bulbs have been melted into socket after being replaced 3 months ago. Now new so let's have to be purchased. A fire could've easily started from this. What defect does 2011 Ford Fusions have that cause this to happen.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion the contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph the vehicle's exterior and interior lights shut off. After driving a little further all lights came back on. The failure recurred. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who diagnosed there were no failures with the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000. Gl.
Was driving and pulled up to a stop light and noticed a foul smell that smelled like brakes from vehicle next to me. Pulled into my work and the smell got really strong and I noticed some smoke starting to roll from the trunk of my car. I opened the trunk to find that the trunk had caught fire. I was able to put the fire out but the whole light assembly had been burned along with some wiring and the molding that houses the light assemblies. Recall issued for Ford taurus but not fro Fusion with same bad parts.
Went to start car and it would not start. Ford roadside towed it the next day. After trying various things for 3 weeks Ford engineering called to tell me it was due to a lightning strike. Insurance believes it is a warranty claim as the car is still under warranty; Ford will not honor this as a warranty claim. No one at Ford has been able to give me a cost for repairs already attempted or for further repairs to make the car work normally again. I feel there is a deeper electrical issue with the car, but Ford is claiming there is nothing in the car that could supply this kind of electricity to fry several modules, fuses, and light bulbs. Worried about a bigger issue which is not being diagnosed and fixed properly. Could be a safety hazard.
