The contact owns a 2010 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that the vehicle had a black instrumental panel which made it very difficult to see the indicators during the day. The instrument panel does illuminate normally while driving at night. The dealer was informed about this failure and stated that this was not covered by the warranty; yet, it was a design flaw. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 2500 and the current mileage was 5000.

Abs brake light on. Speedometer not working engine light on. Changed abs sensor. Engine light went out. Speedometer working but will bounce around when directional is put on or when foot is applied to brake. Abs sensor light is still on. Called Ford and told them I noticed a recall on some of these Rangers for the abs sensor they are telling me this vehicle is not on the list. Well it should be.

: the contact stated while the vehicle was at an idle, the engine revved and lurched forward. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer, but was unable to duplicate the problem. The manufacturer was alerted. Updated 6-15-06 the door ajar light is on. Dealer lubed the locks and latches.
