Takata recall I have received a letter for repair from Ford. The letter specifies to call Ford motor company to set an appointment to replace the passenger side air bag, but when I called them they told me to call don davis Ford in arlington TX to obtain an appointment for the replacing of the passenger air bag, so I call them and they said they did not have parts yet for the repair, so I called Ford motor company and they said they will set an appointment as soon as they get the parts available and until this day I haven't received a call from them again. Right now the heat in the area where I live is bad and I am scare that the passenger air bag might explode. For your information the letter I have received has a posted date of April 2018. Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Ford Ranger, the contact inquired about the airbag recall notice from Ford motors in March of 2018, the contact called Ford in April twice and inquired about NHTSA recall number 18v023000 passenger and drivers side airbags exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The contact received the first recall notice in March of 2018. The contact was advised by Ford at that time to call another Ford dealership after the second phone call to see if parts were available. The contact then called the same Ford dealership a third time in may of 2018 and was advised that parts were still not available. The vehicle was not taken to a dealership or independent mechanic as the parts were not available to complete the recall. The manufacturer was not contacted and made aware of the issue. No failure had been experienced with the vehicle. Cb.

Taka recall early this month (April) I received a letter from Ford telling me parts were now available to replace the passenger side airbag in my 2011 Ford Ranger under NHTSA recall 16v-384, safety recall notice 16s26. Today I called the service departments of four dealers in my area--two answered the phone and each said they have not yet received the parts.

2006 Ford Ranger. Consumer writes in regards to driver and passenger side air bag safety recall. The consumer stated the dealer advised the first set of replaced airbags were temporary airbags and would need to return to have the another repair completed. The consumer requested information about the temporary airbag.

Takata recall: I was notified of the recall early in 2016. The passenger side airbag was replaced on 4/22/2016. I was informed that the parts for the driver side airbag were not available and I would be notified when they came available. I have followed up with the dealership on a regular basis, always being told no parts were available. It is now January of 2018 and the local news media is reporting that people are being advised to not drive there vehicles due to the danger of the air bag. The local dealership states they still do not have the parts and they don't have any other information regarding the recall. I need my vehicle for work and feel this whole matter has taken entirely too much time.

"takata recall" �your dealer is autrhorized to provide a rental vehicle for your personal transportation . . . � my problem is the dealer tells me that they have a back log on the driver's side air bag. This has been going on for more than a year. My vehicle is my only mode of transportation and I have missed 2 doctor appointments that requires me a one and one half hour to drive. The problem is the dealer tells me that Ford will only pay for 2 days rental. I also live in a rural area of north arkansas. At this date, the dealer is still waiting for the back order, has no cars to rent, and being in a rural area there are no car rental agencies with in a short distance.

I need to get a waiver from the national safety administration to have Ford disable my passenger side airbag until such time that they repair it. No passenger can ride in this truck without risking serious injury. I should be able to use my truck and carry passengers safely. There is no real date given by Ford as to when the repair is to be completed.

2007 Ford Ranger. Consumer writes in regards to passenger side airbag safety recall.

I received a passenger side air bag recall from Ford several months ago. Ford stated they would contact me when the repair parts became available. They never did. Recently I received a letter from tk holdings inc. , (representing takata corporation) that they have filed for chapter 11 and that I should contact my dealer to get the repair done. I made an appointment with galpin Ford on 11/28/1017 to get the necessary repair. They called me back and stated that no parts were available to fix the issue. So. I am knowingly driving around with a dangerous potentially lethal issue with no recourse. I feel that if Ford cannot fix my truck (bought new from Ford) that they should buy the car back from me or replace the truck as if a lemon law applied. The value of this truck has been substantially lowered by Ford's negligence.

Takata recall. My Ford Ranger has been under recall for the passenger side airbag since July, 2016. I realize takata is in bankruptcy, but both the notice of filing and the takata recall site state this should not impact the ability to get the airbag repaired. Unfortunately, when I called laird noller Ford in topeka, KS they claim they are unable to fix the airbag because of the takata bankruptcy as they can't get the part(s) they need. I just want the airbag fixed so it is safe.

"takata recall" I have received recall notices on both of the airbags in my vehicle (one in December 2015 for the passenger side and the other in February 2016 for the driver's side). I did not do anything in December 2015 since my passenger side airbag could be turned off. When I got the second notice about the driver's side, I caused the airbags to deploy rather than risk injuring someone in my family. I called my local Ford dealer and made an appointment to have the airbags replaced on November 10, 2017. I was told that they could not replace my airbags without an authorization from Ford motor company since I had taken the deployment canister out of the vehicle and discarded it. I did this because I still needed to use the covering insert in my steering wheel. The dealer advised me to contact Ford motor company "Ford customer relationship/roadside assistance" at phone # 1-800-392-3673. I was told that there was nothing they could do because they had to have the recalled airbag canister to get credit for replacing it. So neither of my airbags have been replaced. Do I have any options available to have my airbags replaced, at this point, other than paying the cost of repair myself?.

Takata recall ---I have had notification for over 1 year now (July 2016) and still (November 2017 ) no one can provide a replacement for my truck passenger side air bag. Need immediate action.

Takata recall. I contacted multiple Ford dealers and they will not provide a fix for the passenger side air bag recall. It has been a long time and there is no help available for this problem.

Takata recall: I took my 2011 Ford Ranger to kirk brothers Ford in greenwood, ms to arrange to have the air bag (s) repaired. I was told the recall was for the passenger side air bag and that the parts are not available. The could not give me an estimate of when the parts will be available. This information did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Do you have a suggestion for how I can get this matter resolved? thank you.

Takata recall we first received notice of the recall on the passenger side air bag in July of 2016. Our Ford dealer still has no parts to replace the air bag. This is a major safety issue and it is inexcusable that no parts are available a year and half later.

I went to the Ford dealership and they fixed the passenger airbag. But after repair the air bag rattles. The driver side airbag has never been replaced we r going on year 3. When I reach out to the dealership they keep telling me they do not have the parts. This has been going on for far too long.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2004 Ford Ranger. The contact received an unknown manufacturer recall for the driver's side air bag. The parts were unavailable for an extended period of time for NHTSA campaign number: 17v788000 (air bags). The dealer (stillwell Ford Lincoln, 3780 w carleton rd, hillsdale, mi 49242, (517) 849-2121) stated that both repairs were completed for the air bag recall. While the vehicle was parked, the contact exited and it rolled into a building. None of the air bags deployed. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The frame was bent and the vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and parked. The vehicle was inspected by a repair facility. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

"takata recall" it has been 1 1/2 years since I received notice that my drivers side air bag needs to be replaced. No action to date. For a year and one-half I have been the only one (the driver) who can ride in my truck. We can not us this truck for anything that involves to people and I hear nothing for the dealer or Ford motor CO. I can't sell it knowing that someone would have to do through what I am going on. It like my problem has gone to "never, never, land". The problem is in motion on city or highway.

Takata recall. I was notified that the passenger side airbag had been recalled in early 2017 and to date (12-23-17) the Ford dealerships have been unable to replace the potentially defective part because they do not have replacement parts and do not know when they will get them.

Takata recall: I think I've been waiting for well over a year for the fix to this recall. I don't feel safe knowing the airbags could harm or kill me and a passenger. I would feel safer if they would deactivate the driver side airbag until the remedy is available.

This is a year old recall for the 2007 Ford Ranger passenger side airbag I made a complaint over 3 months ago case number 110630 with you guys I got a case number a year ago when I first got the recall and they refused to allow me to get it fixed I have heard nothing from either Ford or you and it is disgusting people's lives are in danger and you could care less I am appalled at the lack of customer service or professionalism that you are for.

Takata recall. I first became aware of this recall when I purchased the vehicle in November 2016. I have submitted two letters to NHTSA to deactivate passenger-side airbag, since it is a single cab. I cannot transport anyone in the passenger seat because of this airbag, and there is no availability of replacement airbags. The letters I sent in Dec 16 and oct 17 have gone unanswered. I filled out an email to NHTSA last week and have just gotten off the phone to NHTSA. I need this airbag deactivated until replacement is available. I am in touch with local Ford dealer, "speedway Ford' in griffin, GA 30224, but they cannot resolve the matter either.

(takata recall) I got a recall letter from Ford motor company dated July 2016. The recall was for the passenger side air bag on my 2008 Ford Ranger. I took the truck into my dealer, metro Ford, independence, mo. , within a few days of receiving the recall letter. The service manager told me the parts would be available the 4th quarter of this year, sometime in oct. 2016. I called the dealer today, 10/7/16, to see if I could bring my truck in for the airbag repair, & the service manager now tells me the part may not be available until after the first of the year 2017. I am very concerned about the slowness of this repair as I must use my truck regularly to haul materials, & am very concerned about my passenger's safety. Is there a time frame within which the company is supposed to have this recall repair done? is this vehicle safe to use as I have no other means of hauling materials?.

"takata recall' ever since I received a recall notice on 07/23/2016 for a passenger side air bag on my 2009 Ford Ranger. Recall notice (16s26/NHTSA 16v-384, I have went to my Ford dealer, leif johnson Ford many many times here in austin,TX to find out when I can get it fixed. All I get is excuses. The last time I inquired I was told that they are just a dealer, and that it was Fords problem! it has been over 15 months sinse I received the recall , and it appears they do not care if someone gets hurt! is there something that could be done to get them to move and fix the problem.

Takata recall I got a recall notice in July of 2016. Since that time I have called 2 local dealers and Ford directly. None of the people I spoke with has any information available as to when this defect is to be repaired. Since this defect is from takata and involves the passenger side airbag, my wife is reluctant to ride with me in the passenger seat. All I get from these people is wait wait, wait. I am tired of waiting. Can you help me get this resolved.

Takata recall. I was notified in July 2016 of the recall of my Rangers passenger side airbag. I have called my local Ford dealer three times since being notified, today (October 20 2017) being the latest call. Each time the dealer has said that no parts are yet available.
