Side/window Air Bag Problems of Ford Ranger - part 2

Takata recall. Ford told me they had replaced the driver side airbags and would start replacing passenger side airbags. That was 8 months ago. My passenger side airbags have not been replaced, so no one can travel in my car with me.

My vehicle is part of the air bag recall takata manufactured air bags. I have not received notification from Ford that a replacement part is available. It has been nearly 18 months since this recall. Where is my replacement passenger side air bag?!.

Recall on passenger side airbag ,Ford dealer has failed to get the part needed to fix the problem. Although they did fix the airbag on the drivers side. It's been months since I got the recall notice ,and I still haven't heard from the Ford dealer in corbin ky. People are being killed because of faulty airbags,how much longer do I have to wait for Ford to fix this ?.

Takata recall. Driver side airbag. Dealers claim no availability of parts, one says it is not even designed. Ford says they are making parts as fast as they can, will give no estimate of when they will be available. I have called them numerous times. They gave me a case number, which I gave to the dealership. Dealership says that makes no difference. Now I must drive a vehicle which could be hazardous to life.

Takata recall I do not feel safe driving my vehicle because there is no replacement part for the driver side airbag and if my air bag goes off I could die or my passenger could die.

Takata recall, I have been waiting for almost a year for a replacement for my driver's side airbag. I received my recall notice on February 2016. My passenger side bag was replaced in 2015. I do not feel safe driving this truck.

Takata recall : Ford motor CO. Sent recall notice Feb. 2016, went to dealer stated no parts available, I would be notified when available. 11 months driveing without proper driver side airbag. Why,? I feel this is not a good standard and very unhappy with response.

Takata recall. We have been waiting over three months for replacement of the driver side airbag. We have our children that drive this vehicle and putting them in danger. We want this fixed ASAP or a new Ford Ranger, without any issues, leased to us with Ford covering the cost until our vehicle is safe with new airbag replaced.

Takata recall: notified of recall for passenger side airbags in July 2015, and immediately turned off air bags for passenger side. Notified of driver side airbag recall in January 2016. There is no way to turn off the driver side airbags by owner. I contacted my dealer today to request that my airbags be disconnected until parts are available, and was told that they were instructed not to take any action until the repair parts are available. I don't believe owners should be forced to continue driving unsafe vehicles. Manufacturer should be required to disconnect the air bags on all recalled vehicles or provide loaner vehicles to ensure the safety of owners until parts are available to make repairs.

Takata recall. It's been over a year since the recall & Ford still has no solution for the driver side air bag. Recall 1/22/2016.

Takata recall. Have notified Ford by letter twice about driver side air bag in 9/20/16 and 9/13/2017, no action. Unsafe to drive? vehicle in like new condition, 85000 miles. When can I expect repair as Ford motor continues to build new trucks and cant repair sold vehicles, lousy.

Takata recall. I am still waiting on Ford to fix the driver's side airbag. I need to be able to sell this vehicle and can not without the air bag being fixed. You can't see a car that you're told to not drive because it could kill you. At this point I believe Ford should purchase the vehicle as if I was selling to a private party, not a dealer as that is the only way I can get any money for the vehicle. It's in great shape but un-sellable specifically because Ford hasn't replaced the airbag. I believe we've been waiting a year?.

I received a recall notice for the passenger side airbag. There has been a partial recall for drivers' side airbags covering southern states only. As both passenger side and driver's side airbags are made by the same manufacturer, with similar or identical ignitors, why has the partial recall for driver's side airbags not been extended to all states, as for the passenger side airbags? is there a recall in the works for the driver's side airbags? thanks,.

I'm interested in knowing about the safety of my passengers as of right now I have to cut off the passenger side airbag / and am worried about transporting my young great neice & or nephew picking them up from some school functions . . . . And would appreciate a call or letter knowing this is going to soon be taken care of . . Thanks.

Takata recall for my 2008 Ford Ranger passenger side airbag has a recall for over a year and a half now and still after contacting my Ford dealership they have not replaced it with reason given they have not received the parts to do so. We were doing 30mph and we hit a sheet of black ice. Then we hit the guardrail. When we hit the driver side air bag did not go off until the vehicle stopped and the passenger side air bag did not go off.

After my 2002 Ford Ranger was recalled for a cruise control issue, I kept blowing fuses. In taking it in to my Ford dealer they indicated a short within the driver's side airbag deployment system. Went through about 20 - 10 amp fuses before I could take it in. Failure of a safety item like the airbag should not happen especially with less that 70,000 miles on the vehicle.

In June of 2006 I was in an auto accident that totaled my 2004 Ford Ranger. During the course of the accident the drivers side airbag deployed with a great force that it messed up my neck with two discs and my left arm at the elbow which left a scar and I have difficulty using the said left arm, it's almost like a non existence limb as well as my lower back (I'm only 5 foot 2 inches) it messed up four disc pinching off nerves leaving my left leg froze up and I have to use a cane to be able to walk. I can not have surgery to fix the problems.

I was involved in a front end collision with my Ford Ranger. The truck was traveling about 45-50 mph. The driver side air bag did not deploy. The truck was totaled.

It had been raining and it was slushy out, my truck got pulled by slush and I hit a guard rail almost head on and bounced off of it and wound up right on the edge of the inside lane of the highway once the truck was stopped my airbags went off, I then had an asthma attack from the powder that came out of the air bags. How ironic that the passenger side air bag was shut off yet it still went off. Also when my truck went in the shop to be fixed I found out that both seatbelt pre-tensioners had to be replaced since both of them had broke yet I was the only one in the truck. This truck was fixed by a Ford dealer. I would like to know why the seat belt pre-tensioner on the passenger side broke and I would like to know why the air bag went off when it was shut off. I have pictures of the accident and the damage that was done. I asked the Ford dealer why the air bag on the passenger side had went off and why the seat belt pre-tensioner had broke and all they could tell me is they did not know. I do not agree with that answer and I would like this to be investigated. I had to pay double of what it would have cost me to replace one air bag and one seat belt pre-tensioner.

While traveling about 20 mph another vehicle made a sudden stop in front of consumer's vehicle, causing a collision. Upon impact, driver's side air bag didn't deploy.

Vehicle was at a complete stop and was hit on the driver side by another vehicle, and only the driver side air bag deployed, and burnt the driver face. Please provide more details. Ts.

While driving at 35 mph in a frontal collision the driver side air bag didn't deploy upon impact. Please provide more details. Ts.

Consumer fell asleep at wheel and hit a tree. Speed unknown. Vehicle struck tree directly in center of hood. Upon impact, driver's side air bag did not deploy. Unknown if air bag light illuminated after impact. Ford dealer was contacted. Please provide more information.

Driver side air bag did not deploy, even though the vehicle was involved in a head on collision where the driver side bag opened. Passenger was hurt.

Vehicle rear ended antoher vehicle and at speed of 20 mph, and both passenger's side and driver's side airbags did not deploy. Also, when attempting to stop prior to collision anti-lock brakes locked up.

Driver's side air bag failed to deploy upon frontal impact, but passenger's side did. Estimated speed of impact was 55 mph. Please describe details.

While driving around town a vehicle in the opposite direction ran a red light,and rearended consumer's vehicle. Upon impact, driver's side airbag didn't deploy until three hours later while parked at home. Contacted dealer, and he was not able to help.

Due to a chain reaction another vehicle hit consumer's vehicle. Upon impact, driver's side airbag didn't deploy. Also, driver's shoulder seat belt didn't lock up.

When truck crashed into the back of driver's side of a Ford explorer traveling about 40 mph, there was no deployment of driver's side or passenger's side air bags. Owner not sure of damage total. Please provide any further information.

When vehicle crashed into the back of another, while traveling 15-20 mph, there was no deployment of the driver's side air bag. The whole front end was damaged, damages totalled $3,500. 00. Truck was being reparied.
