Abs and break lights is on after driver 3 min.
Anti-lock braking system control module failure at 102,000 miles. Appears to be a continuing trend with various Ford models, and repair is expensive; approximately $2,000. If abs control module is failing, abs no longer works. Doubt accuracy of abs warning light to provide adequate warning.
The abs light come on periodically. It seems that there is a problem in the abs module with a soldering joint. This happens when the vehicle is in motion. The abs warning light will stay on and disappear when the car is parked and switched off. Then the light will come on again after the vehicle is moved.

Abs light intermittently on and off consistantly. Was told as module needs to be replaced.
Abs light came on continually for the last 6000 miles. Brought the vehicle to Ford in plainville, CT and they told me there was no recall and the cost was to include a new computer for an unreasonable dollar amount. Still not corrected and I understand that the abs system is not working. Have checked other owners and they have the same problem. Also have a cruise control system that is not working. Have been told that I need a new harness for a cost of over #300. Still not activated.
My abs light and breaks turn on once I drive for a mile on the road and it stay on till I shut the engine off for the following day for work. I already replace my brakes, rebuild my transmission and replace all spark plugs and cords, also change my engine oil on time pretty much a take care of my one and only vehicle I have. I have enough with the Fords.
Having abs and electricial problems. Over drive lights was blinking so I had a full scan done. Abs system shows about 12 error codes and the abs light wasn't on. Check the light and the light works. The mechanic seems to not to understand the problem. This problem is very alarming to me because this can be really bad for my family safety. Also another code pulled for the alternator overcharging the battery which never turned the check engine on. Check engine was proven to work and that was repaired and work to fix it.
"check traction control" warning signal, break light, abs light, trac off light, and tire pressure light came on. Speedomoter stopped working, tachometer stopped working, vehicle would not shift when necessary. Local mechanic said it was a failure in the abs pump and abs electrical system.

When driving the van at 50 mph the yellow abs warning light came on, took to the garage , said abs system gave 8 codes but they couldn't pin point a problem, light went off on its own and van regained abs function , and now randomly the light comes on and the abs is deactivated.
Abs light went off. Brakes suddenly became less effective on the snow laden icy pavement. Temporarily lost control of vehicle.
Abs light has been on for a few days now. Took the vehicle to get serviced, abs light on panel and breaks squeaking. Reliable mechanic shop informed me that the vehicles brakes were fine and no replacement is needed, but that my abs would not function properly. I was told the abs light was electrical and that it would cost a lot to fix. The brakes have failed twice recently with brakes locking and no abs. After researching I see the abs warning light is an issue with this vehicle and numerous complaints have been made. Please make a recall.
My Ford Windstar has had problems with the abs for a couple of years. It turns on and off on the dashboard randomly. When the abs light is on, the abs is not working. When the abs light is off, the abs is working. I had my mechanic fix this for $850. Three weeks later, the new part started doing the same thing. I never know how to brake in an emergency situation because the abs is on some of the time and off some of the time.
I have had an intermittent abs light on in my van. I had the codes read at utozone and they are c1185 c1198 c1194. I have read on some forums that this error is due to a faulty solder joint in the abs module. If this is the case, I think there should be a safety recall by Ford.
Just noticed that the abs light would go on and off, checked fluid levels, fine, and then the light stays on all the time.
Abs light is on.
My brake warning and abs lights are on I shut the car off and they are off I drive later they come back on , my brakes work fine the fluid is full.
Went over rumble strip on roadway and abs light came on, brake pedal became hard to push. This happened on Monday 9/22/2014 my mother in law who owns the vehicle said that this had been happening quite frequently over the past few months. I put my scan tool on the vehicle and got 3 abs codes c1235, c1236, and c1185. The first two codes pertain to rear wheel sensors and the third pertains to a power relay for the abs. We have found paper work for three recalls, one related to sub frame corrosion one for the rear axle, and one for an abs sensor wire. From what I have been reading this problem could be related to the first abs problem with the harness replacement.
Abs light came on when I started the van.
The abs light comes on and then off a lot.
Abs light is on again.
For some reason my instrument panel custard needles started,to bounce up and down for no reason and sometimes its ok. Than you be driving and everything its ok, but than there goes the needels bouncing up and down agian and than it stops or if I stop at store or gas station and start the ignition agian it does it again. Problem 2, before the fires on the Ford viechels on the cruise control switch mine had already burned out as I was at the store parking loti picked up my hood and there was the smoke and short wires below the brake fluid holder I fixed it,on my own than see all the problems on the daily news. This happen when I only hadabout 85000 miles. Problem 3, for some reason I'm having with my abs,the light keeps coming on and my brakes don't work right, but when the abs light is off my brakes work fine, I tell you Ford can really make sorry vans like the Windstar lx model.
Abs light comes on.
Abs light keep comming on.
I found seat latches had a recall plus needing a jumper wire installed in a recall so I made apointment at sunland Ford in victorville CA 92392 not even one block from leaving the dealer all dash lights came on and after a few miles after exiting the freeway I pulled over and turned off the engine restarted it the lights went out but after a few miles abs and trac light went back on and stayed on now I noticed my door lights dont work know what could they have done ?? [it's not a blown fuse I checked] I called them the nekt morning and they told me to pay them $105. 00 and they will check it and tell me how much to fix it seems strange it was not doing this before I took it to them is it revenge for doing the recall???.
Abs light. Took my 2003 Windstar with only 74,000 miles on it to an auto parts store to get codes as to explain the redundant abs light. There were at least 12 codes all pointing back to the abs module. This issue with the abs has been on going for 2+ years.
Abs light on. System code c1185.
While driving the van the abs light came on.
Abs light stays on most of the time and intermittently goes off but comes right back on.
