While applying the brakes, the abs and brake lights would come on intermittently. The dealers mechanic stated that the abs brakes needed to be replaced. When I started my truck I heard a humming noise and my abs and brake light was on. I turned off the truck and the humming noise continued. I looked under the truck and heard the abs module was still on. So I pulled the fuse to the abs system and and the module stopped running. I drove the truck to see if there were going to any problems and found there to be none other than the abs not engaging. So I drove the truck home and parked it hoping to get it to the dealer on Monday. I checked online to see if anyone else has had this problem and I can see it is a pretty common problem. I was wondering if anyone had found out if this was a recall yet or if gm has decided to pick up the charge for this problem since it so consistent with these trucks or if someone may have a fix for the problem other than replacing the part because of the expense involved.
