1 Crankcase (pcv) problem of the 2011 GMC Sierra

Failure Date: 10/04/2015

Tl-the contact owns a 2011 GMC Sierra. The contact stated that while at a stop light, the vehicle lost power. The check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that two spark plugs needed to be replaced and that the vehicle consumed excess engine oil. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the pcv valve, valve cover and two spark plugs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. However, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,500. Oo.

2 Crankcase (pcv) problem of the 1997 GMC Sierra

Vehicle stalled while driving. Had coasted to side of road. Restarted & vehicle shut off. The differential seal was leaking oil. The vehicle was making noises in the universal joint. Taking vehicle to mechanic. Also, leaf spring on passenger's sid efailed/replaced/smelled oil due to pcv valve failure, an dtransmission would not shift into drive or reverse.
