Air Bag Not Deploy Problems of GMC Sierra 1500 - part 2

The contact owns a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving 65 mph, the contact fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into eight other vehicles. The frontal air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained head, neck, and back injuries. The vehicle was destroyed and a police report was filed. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that there was a recall on the windshield washer warming fluid sensor. The contact was informed that the vehicle should not have been sold until the recall was repaired because the wire harness module was defective, which caused the air bag failure. The contact was informed that a claim investigator would inspect the vehicle the following week. The failure mileage was 22,000.

The contact owns a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving 55 mph, the contact struck a deer. The deer went under the front driver side wheel and caused the vehicle to crash into a tree at 45 mph. The front air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle is currently at the body shop. The insurance company is investigating the failure and they also want GMC to explain why the air bags did not deploy. The contact owns a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 hd. While driving approximately 50 mph, the contact crashed into another vehicle. The front end of the vehicle was completely destroyed. A police report was filed. The air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle was towed and is currently at the body shop. He stated that gm is giving him the run around. The consumer stated spoke with dealer, there have been 4 recalls that were issued and he was not notified such as tailgate, airbag, front brake pipe with body cross seals, and front brake hose abrasion. This vehicle was involved in a single vehicle accident hitting a gaurdrail and concrete divider. The 2002 GMC sierra1 1500 ext. Cab truck has been totaled by the insurance company. Passenger and driver sustained neck and back injuries, and were transported by ambulance to a hospital. Vehicle was towed, and totaled by the insurance company.

The vehicle hit mud, spun out striking a concrete bridge on interstate-75. Airbag did not deploy it was a head on hit with concrete. Same vehicle struck a deer the previous year and no airbag deployed. This also did major front damage to this vehicle.
