Brake Abs Warning Light Problems of GMC Sierra 2500

Abs comes on at low speed. . It increases stopping distance. . I have once rear ended a vehicle because of this. There was no damage to either vehicle. . Also my abs light come on for a few seconds maybe two or three times a month. .

Tl- the contact owns a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle, the abs light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact stated that he turned the vehicle off and the abs was still operating and it caused the battery to drain. The contact owns a 2005 GMC sierra 3500hd. The contact stated while at a complete stop with the brake pedal engaged, the vehicle began to lunge forward; followed by the illumination of the abs warning light and a chime sounding inside the vehicle intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated both front brake hubs and sensors would need to be replaced; however the parts were not included in the extended service warranty. For about the last year we have been having abs light issues and have had brakes replaced, wheel bearings replaced, hubs replaced. Mechanic assured everything fine. Have had complete loss of brakes twice in last year. Latest failure was one week ago. . . Brakes failed, went to floor but did not hit anything as was in parking lot. Mechanic found corrosion on the brake line and replaced section of the line involved.
