Abs Brake Fail problems of the 2002 GMC Yukon

The contact owns a 2002 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would experience increased stopping distant when depressing the brake pedal. The contact indicated that the failure was intermittent and occurred on both wet and dry pavements. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the abs failed. The vehicle was not repaired. 2002 GMC Yukon suffered multiple brakeline failures due to corrosion. Rear brake lines running along the axle were originally replaced upon visual inspection. The rear main line from the abs modulator failed shortly after from a corrosion induced leak where the line passes over the fuel tank. The front lines were scheduled for replacement as a precaution but failed prior to repair where the line passes over the radiator brace. All brake lines and fuel lines show significant corrosion damage.
