Dash is cracked scared that sharp objects may fly into my family face if air bags are deployed the truck lost all power and left me and my daughter stranded right in the middle of traffic about got hit thank god we didn't gm needs to take care of these matters and take it seriously people could be seriously hurt or killed and if I hit a bump my cruise control will shut off automatically as if I pushed the button but I never touched anything.
The vehicle has 22,000 miles on it and is under warranty. The airbag light indicating a malfunction stays on. The vehicle has been to the dealer 2 different times. The dealer indicates the factory(GMC) is working on the problem but has no solution at this time. Researching I have found this to be a problem for years not just the 2021 model. I have asked the questions: do my airbags still work in a collision? can the airbags inflate by mistake? I’m a grandfather and have young children in the car. Are they safe? no one will give me a firm answer. Know what if I want to sell the vehicle? can’t do it? someone needs to make GMC accountable. Peoples lives are at risk with this issue.

Service safety restrain system message keeps appearing after taking to dealer a few times. It will go off and on intermittantly and not sure the airbags are actually functional. This seems to be a common issue based on an internet search across multiple gm products that does not have a known fix. Also, the driver seat shifts slightly when making turns.

Was told by my local dealer that they did not have to complete to recall unless I signed a document holding them blameless if they cracked my dashboard or cracked it worst than it already is. I declined to sign until I could investigate why I absolutely had to sign a document absolving gm of their bad design. I believe it to be unjust and insulting that we are required to choose between the safety of our vehicles vs the possible destruction of the interior due to gm's poor design. I did not get a picture of the document before I left the dealer but was told I could bring it back later if I wanted it fixed but I would have to sign the document.

I received a safety recall notice for my vehicle and scheduled an appointment for repair, #n212328790. Upon arriving, the dealer advised me there was a very small crack in the dash and if the dash cracked during the removal or installation, gm would not reimburse for any damage to the dash. The default was with the manufacturer and if they didn't replace it correctly, I'd be out serious money to replace and maintain the value of the vehicle.
Involved in a front/side passenger side collision with significant damage and speed with no airbag deployment(s).

I was involved in a traffic collision. A large vehicle turned left in front of me and I t boned that vehicle. We were traveling about 30-35 mph at the moment of impact. My vehicle sustained major damage ($20,000+) to repair according to the body shop. My wife, daughter and myself sustained injuries. My wife and I have significant injuries. I truly believe, based on vehicle damages, and injuries that our airbags should’ve deployed. I believe it has a fault sensor that should be inspected.

Purchased the vehicle brand new on 12/3/21. On 12/21/21 vehicle started to display 'service safety restraint system' and airbag light was on. Also, all controls on the overhead console (sunroof, sunroof shade, map lights, rear access control, auto folding seat control) were no longer working. The passenger airbag light on the overhead console that notifies if the airbag is on or off was also no longer lighting up. The interior overhead lights in all 3 rows of the vehicle are not working and the fold down mirror lights are not working. I contacted my local dealership and they said the overhead console had failed and was the cause of the issues. They stated they had ordered the part and that I could come pickup my vehicle. They did state the part was backordered and it could be weeks before the part arrived. I asked if the vehicle was safe to drive as the airbag light was on, the passenger airbag light was no longer lit up, and the 'service safety restraint system' error continued to display. They stated they could not guarantee that the airbag system was functioning properly, but I could still come get the vehicle. I asked if they had a loaner vehicle they could provide me with as I was concerned about the airbag system not functioning properly and they stated they did not have any loaner vehicles. I have contacted the dealership several times to see if there are any updates on the part and they have told me the part is still backordered and have no eta of when the part may be in. So, I have been driving around in a vehicle for almost two months that has non-functioning airbags. This is a significant safety hazard.

My transmission had to be replaced back in December of 2021, and now I have taken my truck back to the dealership for transmission problems again, the transmission is slipping again, driving rough and now im getting a safety restraints message and the airbag picture is coming on.

The contact stated that she then contacted the manufacturer who advised her they were not able to speak to her because of a lemon law suite she opened. The failure mileage was 858.
The open recall on this vehicle cannot be complete without the customer being fully responsible for damage that might be caused during the recall repair. Gm is advising all dealerships to force customers to sign a waiver if they have the recall work performed releasing gm and the dealer from all responsibility of any damage done to the dashboard. If the dashboard is damaged and has to be replaced then the customer is faced with a more than $1000 repair job therefore the customer must choose between feeding and caring for their family or risking the passenger being seriously injured or killed due to the faulty airbag issue. Gm should stand behind the decision they made to use cheap plastic for their dashboards on this vehicle instead of punishing their customers and costing them more money or risking injury or death to passengers.

I was involved in a vehicle accident on 10/6/2021 where my vehicle was stuck by an uninsured motorist driving recklessly on the interstate causing a total of 4 car collision. My vehicle was a a 2021 GMC Yukon slt SUV, in which I was struck on rear drivers side quarter panel and again by another vehicle in the front bumper by another vehicle that struck in the rear bumper by the reckless driver. With my vehicle being struck by two vehicles I was shocked to learn the onstar safety security features did not detect or contact me regarding the accident. It wasn’t until the wrecker driver arrived to pull my vehicle onto the tow truck that I received a diagnosis notification email from o star about my antilock braking system. Although I was wearing my seat belt, the impact of the collision was very shocking, my chest and neck struck the steering wheel, my glasses were knocked completely off my face on to the passenger side floor board, my personal belongings in the passenger seat, were thrown and scattered over the passenger floor area. Once the emergency authorities were on the scene everything was about over I contacted onstar via phone, and asked why wasn’t I contacted or my accident detected, and the call taker/on star representative advised me because my airbags wasn’t deployed, they did not receive a notification or alert regarding my emergency. I have attempted to make contact with onstar several times since the accident and as of today I have yet to get an answer of why my air bags did deploy and why the emergency sensors did detect the impact notify emergency services as this is a feature that I was charged for monthly and added protection that I counted on to assist me but very much failed me at my time of need.

We have received a urgent and important recall related to our airbag being a deadly threat when activated. This was in February 2021 and still there is no remedy to get rid of the deadly threat !!!.
The brake lines are not coded so the brake line rusted and when brakes got applied they burst causing accidents for no pressure and can’t stop. Air bags light stays on and will not go out. I have put new lights bulbs in truck but lights are still dim.
