Steering Wheel Problems of GMC Yukon

: the contact stated that the vehicle's lighting for the instrument panel was not sufficient enough to see the gauges at night and the steering wheel was bent to the left. The service dealer inspected the vehicle who agreed both problems were valid, but could not offer a solution. The manufacturer was notified and offered no solution. Updated 08/25/06.

Purchased a vehicle from dealer and steering was never fixed. Then purchased a extended warranty ,and it was never honored! I exit the warranty ,and was not send money back. The company made excuses, and didn't respond after repeated request and letters.

Steering wheel will not return to center stickswhen making hard left turn and right turn has been in shop I was told it did that and the new 2001 will not do that it has been in the shop two or three times I feel that some one will get hurt if this is not corrected thank you.

While driving between 20-55mph, the steering wheel would have a lot of play in it. The problem is intermittent. The vehicle is uncontrolleable at times. Has not been in contact with dealership, but will call soon.

When driving on freeway at 65mh consumer hit brakes because vehicle in front stopped very fast. Upon applying the brakes, vehicle swerved from side to side and lost control. Steering wheel was shaking very badly. Finally came to a stop. Contacted dealer. This has happened before, but the steering wheel had moved unexpectedly at high speeds.

While trying to pull out of a parking space steering wheel became loose and hard to turn. Please provide further information.

Steering wheel position sensor failed.

Extreme vibration in steering wheel & through out vehicle at speeds of 60+. Gm is aware of this problem but does not offer a fix! I possess over 90 consumer complaints regarding this issue.

Vehicle pull to the right, checked alignment and tire balanced possibly a component of the steering column.

Intermittently while driving, the steering wheel slightly turns either to the left or right. The dealer has replaced the gear box, the steering sensor and the computer module, but the problem still exists. Manufacturer has been notified.
