1 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2013 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 05/08/2014

I recently had a very serious issue with my 2013 Honda Accord regarding unintended acceleration. While pulling into a parking spot at a garden nursery I applied the brakes but they did not respond in anyway, the engine then revved up making a loud noise, the car lunged forward over several railroad tie barriers, bushes, hit a truck that was parked in the lot and came to rest in a mulch pile. Luckily the truck and mulch stopped the car and I was able to put it into park and turn it off. There is considerable amount of damage to the side of my car and the property of the nursery. This happened on may 8, 2014 at 5:00 pm. It was a gravel parking lot, dry sunny day. This Honda was purchased new in 2013 and is a 4cyl with cvt transmission and has approximately 13,000 miles. The car had to be towed to the dealership where it sits now waiting for a Honda representative to investigate this issue. It was a blessing that no one was standing in front of my car. Much of my decision to purchase a Honda was because of reliability and safety; however, I do not feel safe driving this vehicle. This is my first Honda and I am thoroughly disappointed and alarmed after this incident.

5 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2008 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 05/06/2011

Loud noise from rear brakes. Squealing, so pulled over. Then drove 8 miles home. Now in 2015 at 33000 miles on the odometer, I've had to replace the rear pads three times, had slides repaired and lubed, two sets of rotors, and now a rear caliber that Honda replaced because I still had a warranty on them. They where found to be seized yet again 12/10/14 after being seized and serviced 5/12/14. Each time I'd notice a smoking or weird noises coming from the rear brakes and then would schedule an appt. Honda should recall these rear brakes or offer some kind of brake upgrade.

10 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2008 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 03/21/2010

My car was making a terrible noise . . I figured the front pads were due for replacement at 30,000 miles . Took it to a shop which was open on Sunday and found that the rear pads were completely gone . The front pads had little if any wear on them According to the sear's tech who did the work. He thought that the premature rear brake pad wear was due to defective spring. I have had no such notification about the problem from Honda as of this date . . . . . When I called hendrick Honda to complain /advise them of the issue ,they knew exactly what I was talking about. . . And said it more than likely would have been covered by the warranty but since I had taken it somewhere else ,he could do nothing for me . . . What am I supposed to do, ride on bad brakes just b/c they aren't open on Sunday??? terrible customer relation.

11 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2008 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 03/13/2010

Around 4:45 p. M. , Thursday, March 11, 2010, I took my 08 Honda Accord to goodson Honda I-45 north, houston, texas, because at approximately 30,000 miles loud noises was coming from the rear of the vehicle. It appeared that I was having serious brake problems. After an inquiry of the brakes quality and performance, the service advisor, carl reed confirmed that the rear brake shoes would be replaced with a better quality. He informed me that Hondas corporate office had selected a new company that would provide better quality, and longer life spans of their brake shoes and pads. In addition, Hondas technician had to replace the front brake pads at approximately 20,000 miles. The qualities of the brake system using low quality brake pads and shoes have proven to be a nuisance for owners. The service advisor, carl reed, drove the vehicle to the rear of customer service and it stayed hidden for about 20 minutes. Then one of Hondas rouge technicians, jose terdomo, drove the vehicle inside the service area where it was visible from a window. He kept the hood of the vehicle open as he removed the rear brake shoes. Around 6:10 repairs were completed, and I checked the vehicle out at 6:19. When I turned the air condition on after departing from goodson Honda service department, contaminated air flowing from the vents initiated an immediate respiratory discomfort. While venturing back and forth to work Friday, 03/12/2010, the air quality that flowed from the vent was unfit for humans to breathe. As it flowed from the air condition vents, it permeated the air with dangerous nanoparticles, lethal chemicals, and irritant gases compressed with tetrafluoroethane (r-134a). This dangerous mixture quickly attacks the respiratory and central nervous systems with its lethal combination. If you need further information, please feel free to contact me.

16 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2005 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 05/16/2006

I drove a 2005 Honda Accord. After two days of purchased which was in April , 2005 I pulled out of the parking space my left front tire was popped. I had it replaced and called the dealership. They sent me to one of their tire affiliate dealer and they said that it was not manufacturer faults. Four or five months after, I heard my brakes making this screech loud noise so I brought in for the dealer to take a look at and they had it re-do on the brake. Last week, beginning of may 2006. The car bring in my attention on the freeway. When I drive at 65 miles, the car was shaking, it moves side to side and I don't have that much control with the wheels. I brought it in and the dealer had my wheels rotate for me. And today, this morning I dropped my daughter to her baby sitter house at 9:30 a. M. It is a busy residential area so I was driving around 15-20 miles per hour. I heard a very loud noise from my car and the car was dragging something in the front, right passenger side for few seconds and the car was dead stop in the middle of the street. I could not start the engine at all. So I went out and looked. I saw my front right side car dropped on it's own wheel with black pieces, bolt, and silver ring piece scattered on the street. I looked down and saw my front right axle was broken and felt down on the street. There are neighbors walked by and saw what happened. I called a towed truck and they came by to towed my car to the nearby Honda dealer. With the condition the car was in. The tow truck man told me that he might had scraped my front bumper because my car had very small space for the lift of his truck to go under and lift up the car. We managed to secured the car and had it towed to the dealership. And they said that they will take a look at it.
