takata recall recently I purchased a 2014 Honda Accord from a dealership which made this my first car ever. Everything was going right up until 3 months of me having the car. My brakes went out without me knowing because someone from that dealership broke off the little chip that makes the squeaking noise. I took it to the dealer to explain to them what had happen showing them the evidence and they made it seem like I was lying while driving on hwy 16 I ended up having a blowout on the passenger side of my car and messed my front fender up. Two(2)months after that in March I purchased a brand new battery because the battery that came with the car had died out. Prior to that I never knew the alternative was the reason for the battery to constantly die out. On March 15 2018 I went back to the dealership to let them know and even inspect my car when one of the manager came to talk to me he said there was absolutely nothing they could do because my warranty was only 30days. Now not knowing anything about a warranty how am I suppose to know or knew all of these problems were going to happen. When I asked about a manufacturer warranty I was told I didn't have one and they were not going to help me with my car. May 10 2018 my friend found out she had a recall on her starter and went and got another one. Now when I locked up the Honda recalls I seen there were two: one for the battery and the second was for the starter. I contacted the dealership again leaving voicemails after voicemail until I couldn't take it anymore and just went up there. As I walk in I asked to speak to the person who was in a hire position. As we are talking he ask me how long I had the car, how many miles, and the question of all when is your warranty expired. After he found out the warranty was expired there was nothing he could do for me. I pay 400 and haven't had the car for a year yet.

I purchased a 2008 Honda Accord lx, 3. 2l in August of 2008. It currently has 22676 miles and I had to replace the rear brakes last week. I began hearing a squeaking noise the week before and took the car to my local Honda service center. They informed me that the rear brakes were completely worn. I questioned the brake wear because of the low miles on my vehicle and the fact that it is a front wheel drive car. Honda stated that they are aware the brakes are an issue, however it will not be covered under warranty.

I purchased a brand new 08 Honda Accord ex-l in March 08. Around 10k miles I started noticing during light braking the brakes would squeak. I figured the pads were just braking in and that the brake dust was causing the noise. After washing and waxing my Accord I inspected and checked the brake calibers, pads and shims to see what caused the noise. I noticed that the rear brake pads had little to no pad remaining. I replaced the rear brake pads with less than 13k miles. I paid it no mind because I'm a mechanic, but now I'm concerned. I currently have 24k miles on it and again I'm experiencing the same brake squeaking noise. I have purchased eight Hondas, three new and five used. I currently have four with over 850k miles on them total. Throughout my Honda mania, I have never experienced such a Honda deficiency. Today, I have read comments and complaints against Honda dealerships and Honda America. I'm totally over taken by this and can only assume Honda will do the right thing soon and continue to provide premium products and services.

I am a victim of premature rear brake pads and possible worn rotors. I first started experiencing a loud screeching noise coming from the rear brakes in the summer of 2009. I also heard that noise everytime I put the car in reverse and started reversing. I brought the car in for an oil change in October 2009 and advised them of the situation. They claimed they heard nothing and to wait for the next service to observe the brakes. I came in a month later for a different service and advised them I still hear the squeaking noise from the brakes. They wanted me to resurface my rear rotors and change my rear breaks. I didn't understand how my car needed to have my rotors resurfaced and brakes replaced so soon. I had the car for a year so my brakes or rotors shouldn't be serviced this early. After I declined and was upset, they said to wait for my next service to do both service. Then I went to many websites like carcomplaints. Com and other sites where I seen many other owners were experiencing the same thing. I couldn't understand how the rear brakes needed to be replaced under 15000 miles before the front brakes. I keep checking if there is a recall but nothing yet.
The contact owns a 2008 Honda Accord. The brakes made a squeaking noise when they were engaged. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and a technician concluded that the entire brake system needed to be replaced. No repairs were made. The failure mileage was 16000 and the current mileage was 19000.
I purchased a 2009 Honda Accord ex-l in Feb of this year. Since about may of this year, the brakes have had a terribly squeaking noise to it. I am afraid that my brakes are failing, however, am "assured" by Honda that it is just a cosmetic defect. I do not feel confident in this request. Please investigate.
The contact owns a 2008 Honda Accord. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact heard a loud squeaking noise in the rear of the vehicle whenever the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the rear brake pads were failing. The brakes were repaired at the cost of $200. The contact called the manufacturer and a report was filed. The failure mileage was 15,000 and current mileage was 16,200. Updated 6/18/09 updated 06/22/09.
I purchased a 2009 Honda Accord v6 on February. When I apply the brakes my car makes a loud squeaking noise. The noise is getting worse. I've been to the dealership over 4 times and have called in regards to them fixing the problem. They told me that it was the brake pads. They are still in the process of investigating the problem. Why is this taking so long? the Honda consumer affairs department said that if I fix the brake I would have to pay out of pocket. Honda will not fix this problem unless its recalled. My left speaker as well has shorted out. I went to the car audio store and had the speaker replaced with a new Honda speaker and once again it shorted at a high volume. The gentleman at the car audio store informed me that this was a manufacturing problem on the car.
I purchased my 2008 Honda Accord on last March. I was happy with the car, until recently, because I began to hear a squeaking noise from my rear brake system. I took my car to the dealership, and they said that it was the weather. They said the noise should go away when it warms up, and now we warming and I continue to hear the squeaking noise. Something has to be done, because I only have a little over 13k miles on my car. I have heard and read many complaints about this problem, but Honda refuses to do anything about. Something needs to be done, because we as the consumer should be paying for anything that is out of our control. I feel Honda should order a national recall on the Honda Accords to rectify this problem.
Brought car in dealership for squeaky brakes at approx. 4,000 miles. After the inspection, was told rear pads needed to be replaced and were covered under 12,000 mile warranty. A few days later noticed squeaky noise coming from the front. Brought car back and front pads were replaced. A few days after that, noise came back, and dealership replaced both brake pads and rotors. Two weeks later noise was back again and need to bring back to dealership. Also considering writing to Honda regarding lemon law claim.
