The vehicle is a push start. For several weeks now my car will not start on the first try. I put my foot on the brake press the button and the engine will not start. It gives a clicking noise and the air conditioning and displays come on. Sometimes I have to try 5 times and eventually, it starts. Other times I have to try more than 30 times to get the vehicle to start. I put my foot on the brake and press the button. If the engine does not start, I turn the car completely off and try again. Now the car will not start no matter how many times I press the button with my foot on the brake. This happens when the car has been turned off and parked.

After owning the car for 2. 5 years, the car would not start and required a jump. After several instances of this occurring, the original oem battery was replaced. Within 2 months of installing the new battery, the car wouldn't start and required a jump. The car will start fine for a few weeks and then requires another jump (this repeats every several weeks). The car has been inspected by a Honda dealership and they found no charging or draw issues. The car is driven enough, According to the dealer, so that's not an issue either. It appears based on other complaints to NHTSA that this issue is happening to other 2017-2018 Honda Accord owners. Please investigate this issue with Honda and have them perform a recall if necessary.
Car will not start. The battery has been replaced and is less than 2 years old. Lots of other people are complaining of the same issue. . Read more...
The car will not start at all. It does not give a code and after 3-6 attempts it finally starts. This has now happened over the last month four times.
2015 Accord lx will not start sometimes. Just clicks when key is turned. All lights and everything else are working properly. New battery has been installed and still having same issue. It appears this is happening to numerous other consumers but no progress is being made by Honda to address this problem. Have been left stranded because of this issue on occasion.
There are times the car will not start. Have to get a jump to start.
Car would not start after several tries.
In the last year my car has not turned on 3 times. When I push the start button it just clicks and all the warning lights come on. Only after many attempts and waiting more than half hour it finally turns on with all warning lights. In July, we changed the battery. Thinking this might be the problem. It was not. Again today the car would not start and all the warning lights are on. I took it to the dealer who is charging me $150!to do a diagnostic check. I purchased the car in 2015 brand new. It currently has 35k miles. A car with few miles and only 4 yrs old should not be giving any problems. Even less having to pay for a diagnostic or manufacturing related problems.
I drove my car for 10 minutes and then stop at the gas station to put some gas then after I tried to turn it on again but my car will not start and then after waiting for more than 30 minutes he did finally start but all the lights were still on then I drove it for another five minutes and stop the car to park and then wait for five minutes and then the car start again but the lights were off this time I'm not sure if this is safe but it's been doing this for more than three times already I don't know what to do.
When I went to start my car after parking it in a parking lot, my car wouldn't start. The control panel was flashing on and off and stated that there was an issue with the brake system and to see my dealer. I had the car tolled to Honda. After inspecting the car, they told me there was a defective cell in the battery and they replaced the battery. I purchased my car brand new last year in 2019 yet this defective battery caused me to be stranded, which I don't expect to happen with an essentially new car.

Since I bought my 2017 Accord many times after driving the car and turning off the engine I tried to start it didn't I had to have it a boost then it runs fine with some dash lights on then they disappear once I drive after many times I took it to the dealer they said your battery is good and no electrical problem and then I read online I saw tons of people talking about the same issue and they had to replace Honda battery to a bigger battery with higher cca because this battery is weak and it cause a stall consequently a crash or the car will not start if you are in the middle of nowhere it's clear this is a Honda problem that I'll have to buy a bigger battery with higher cca and capacity to avoid as they said(not Honda) this problem to happen again thank you very much this car is 28 days old.
Concerning the battery, I was parked in a parking stall and when I try to start my car to leave it would not start I had to call a tow truck to give me a jump. No lights or anything was left on I had turn my car completely off and then I tried to start it and it would not start I was only there like long enough to order my food and then to leave so maybe 20 minutes in my car would not start ,due to the battery. Concerning the fuel system I was at a signal had my foot on the break and the car exceller rated on its own if I would not have my foot on the break I felt like it would've hit the car in front of me the whole car moved I had a passenger with me and they identify the same thing I talked took my car to the dealer I told them what had happened and they told me just don't park too close behind a car that was their response to me. I was stationary behind a vehicle at a signal waiting for the signal to turn green so I could go that's when this happen on a regular street.
When I drive my car. It suddenly jumps. It seems like its the transmission problem. It happens at low speed as well as high speed. I have done everything possible to keep my car maintained. Also its battery is dying after having it for 3 years. I have to jump the car at random times because the car would not start.
Car will not start after sitting in the parking lot for 10 mins when nothing turned on. This is the 2nd time in 6 months. The first incident was in December 2017 in bay area CA, and now in pleasanton CA with temp about 60 degrees outsider.
When trying to turn the car on, the car may start or not. It's almost a gamble when trying to turn the car on. Honda has always been safe and reliable but due to this ignition problem I don't feel safe or it's reliability. The car is push to start, so when it does not want to start it can take anywhere from 2 to 8 try's before the car starts. I had an instance in the past two months where my phone was dead and I was 27 miles from home in a parking structure and the car did not want to start at all.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. While driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle would not restart and a clicking sound was heard. After several attempts, the vehicle finally restarted and was driven to the contact's home. The contact also stated that the vehicle did not start when the start button was depressed approximately thirty times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.
Ignition problems. Car will not start on initial try. It takes several attempts to start it. My car only has 66k miles. Im afraid it will leave me stranded somewhere because it did not start. I put a complaint with Honda, I think it is a factory defect, which has plagued this company for years. I am hoping your agency can go further with this issue. Thank you.
The car will not start from the first push of starting button while the brake pedal is depressed. It takes at least 3 times to start the cart. I changed the battery and battery for keys. I went to the dealership and they the problem of not starting from first time still happened.
In early 2019, after my Honda dealer replaced my vehicle's water pump, I began experiencing problems with the push button start feature on my 2013 Honda Accord. Sometimes, my car starts right away. But more often, it takes several attempts before my car will start using the push button start feature. When repeated attempts are necessary to start my car, I hear a 'clicking' type noise when I press the start button, but my car does not turn over. After several attempts pushing the 'start' button, my car eventually starts (sometimes after a few seconds and a few attempts, sometimes after many attempts and two or three minutes). The problem occurs randomly, when the car is cold and warm. I never experienced this problem until Honda replaced the water pump on my car earlier this year. Based on other web posts, this sounds like a common problem with the push button start feature in 2013 Honda Accords. Once my car starts, it runs well. At this present time, I have no other mechanical problems other than the push button start feature. However, my car's failure to start is a safety issue in itself if a car fails to start in a situation where a quick get away is necessary (for example, flood, wild fire, or other natural or other disaster that may require that my car start without delay).
Over the last several days the car would not start without requiring a jump for the battery. Then it would run, but once the car was off and had to be restarted it would require another jump. Had the battery tested and brought the car to dealership and they state nothing is wrong with the vehicle. (it started there no problem). It ran fine for the next few days, but currently its parked and won't start. The only lights that displayed was the eps which turned off shortly after the car started.
My Honda Accord 2017 4 cyn all of dash board lights lit up, the steering wheel partially locked while I was driving going 55 mph. I pulled over and couldn't cut the car off with my start button. After about 5 minutes I was able to finally cut it cut off. Then it would not start at all. Then after another 5 minutes it started and I went straight to the car dealership January 2019. About seven months earlier, my car would start at all. I went to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong. They told me only thing it might be was the battery, I bought a battery and my car was only 11 months old. Recently, February 2019, now my battery is 7 months old, my car wouldn't start again. They can't find anything wrong with my car, but I am having issues. There have been times when I start my car and the dash lights do not come on and I hold the button on the dash and the system reboot and the dash light come on. My car is at the dealership and now it is starting, but the said everything is registering that nothing is wrong. I have an huge issue because I can't be strained in this cold winter weather and my car not starting. This is unsafe because I was in motion less than a month ago on the highway going 55 mph and my car froze in motion. Cjb February 2019.
The car fails to start after several turns of the key up to 12 times before starting. Once it does start, it starts like there isn't a problem at all. Car rarely starts on the first turn of the key. This has happened since about 47,000 miles. Car currently has 51,000.
To whom it may concern, I've been reviewing several website's where car owners of 2014 Honda Accord sedan's has reported where the ignition will not turn over when you insert their key. I have to turn my key and take it out at least 5 times in over for the ignition to turn over. This is a major concern for my especially if I'm stranded. I was in my parking garage on 11/19/18 at 5:30pm where my car will not start. I had to take my key out and insert it in the ignition for about 5 times before it turnover. My car has had its routinely check ups and I'm not sure as to why this is happening all or suddenly. I'm noticing that this has been happen for about 2 months. When I taken my car to my local dealership- duval Honda on casset Ave and they stated that no one has reported this issue. However I have review plenty of complaints of the similar issue that I'm having.

Since purchase in 2017. We have had to get roadside assistance multiple times to jump the battery because vehicle wouldn't start. We have spoke to Honda that perhaps this VIN# vehicle should have been on a recall. . . But not included on a the 11/8/17 kgo recall. We then turn to local pepboys to do a 1st diagnostic on 10/2/2018 and showed damaged battery and so we purchased a new battery and then 2 weeks later on 11/2/18 had to have two jump starts that week and we returned to pepboys for a 2nd diagnostics that pinpointed something causing battery damage. Installed a new 2nd battery which brings us to where we are currently. In conclusion, we are fearful as we drive this vehicle and park and worry that we are going to be left stranded some where when we go to crank vehicle or worse a fire due to some electrical short. We believe that Honda should provide a voucher to take vehicle to local Honda dealership at their cost to determine the root cause since they should know their vehicle the best.
The contact owns a 2016 Honda Accord. After driving the vehicle and turning the engine off, the battery power would drain and the vehicle could not be restarted. After replacing the battery with a new battery, the failure continued. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,000.
A year after having the vehicle I had to get a new transmission on 5/2017. After the the first repair I started to have issue with my dash board lights and gear indicator would scrambled on and off. Three months later I had my vehicle wouldn't start and I was told I needed a new battery. 8/19/2018 the vehicle broke down again. Its currently at the shop and they are saying its the transmission. Each time the vehicle broke down I was traveling on the interstate when the vehicle started to shift gears.
When I go to start the car, pushing the break and pressing the start button, I hear clicking and the engine will not start. I have to try multiple times before the care will finally start.
