Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator Problems of Honda Accord - part 1

I have taken my car for the airbag recalls in the past. A few weeks ago, after taking the car to a car wash, the airbag icon came on my dash. I had it put on a diagnostic machine and it showed air bag:frontal:driver side:inflator module. The local Honda dealership will not fix it unless I pay out of my pocket. I don't feel like I should have to pay for a repair and I'm concerned that the airbag won't deploy in an accident.

Received attached notice that my car has one or more takata inflators that could create a risk of injury. My wife and I still own this 2007 Accord and it has not been recalled.

Tl the contact owns a 2008 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to tampa Honda (11000 n. Florida Ave, tampa, FL 33612; (813) 518-6476) and was informed that the srs failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously included in recall campaigns regarding the air bag inflator and the srs. The contact stated that the dealer informed him that the srs on the vehicle had a different serial number compared to the ones in the recall. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not covered under recall and needed to be repaired out of pocket. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 138,000.

Received recall notice for faulty air bag inflator. Called ocean Honda in soquel, CA dealer to schedule service. I was told they do not have the part, they can not tell me when they will ever get the part and will not check with manufacturer and was told to keep driving the car, no problem, yet history shows that at least 14 people have been killed by this faulty part. What am I to do?.

Dealership failed to properly install airbag inflator after I recieved a recall notice. Then proceeded to tell me the srs code that was showing up on my car after installation was there before service and everything was properly installed on their end.

Have a faulty airbag inflator that was originally recalled by Honda,and Honda el cerrito CA, put the new remedy airbag inflator my Honda on 3/18/2016,Honda has again recalled my airbag inflator that was remedied to replace my precious manufactured inflator,I shared today that my airbag sensor dash indicator is turning on and off, my airbag system has been operated on by Honda el cerrito twice by recall on the same inflators ,today will be the 3rd,Honda el cerrito was charging me to check my airbag system even though they are operating on a recall on my rem�died inflator placed on 3/19/2019,my airbag system is not safe,Honda el cerrito didn't want to check my airbag system sensor to make sure it's not the recalled inflators affecting the airbag system.

Tl the contact owns a 2004 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated intermittently. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where it was discovered that there was an open circuit in the passenger inflator. The mechanic linked the failure to a possible recall based on a service bulletin the mechanic discovered. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v700000 (air bags). No further assistance was offered. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

"takata recall" I do not think that I have received a recall notice and therefore my takata inflators are apparently dangerous. We drive the car every day, and we are concerned. I checked our 2008 Honda's VIN number and discovered that itit has not been recalled. What do I do now?.

2008 Honda Accord. Consumer writes in regards to airbag inflator safety recall. The consumer stated the recall notification is being sent to the wrong address. The manufacturer was notified, but no adjustments were made.

2003 Honda Accord ex . Consumer writes in regard to safety recall notice NHTSA 19v-501 passenger frontal airbag inflator. The consumer was informed that the recall was unable to be completed due to the vehicle having had a salvage title. The dealer could not be sure the parts on the vehicle were original; therefore, the consumer had to pay for parts before the repair could be completed.

Takata inflators. Received April 2019 nhsta recall 19v-182 in mail. Next day called gunn Honda where vehicle purchased & requested appointment to address recall. Provided VIN, dealer rep found car and my name in their system. Rep told me all recall appts had to be made by service advisor & someone would call me by next day. No call received so I called again the next day. I explained this car would be driven by my son when he returned from college & so needed to have this safety issue addressed before he drove car. Rep again told me only service advisor could make a recall work appt & that she would mark my call a priority & I would hear back later that day. Few days later, still no call. Called third time, again told a service advisor would call me with appt for recall work. Four weeks later, gunn Honda dealership service advisor has still not called. Clearly, this dealership has no concern for their customers' safety & the need for action on a nhsta mandated recall. Today, I filed an online report with american Honda to report the dealership's refusal to schedule recall work. The gunn Honda dealership has a blatant disregard for the safety of the vehicle they sold to me. Clearly, deaths and injuries have occurred because of these malfunctioining inflators yet they will not address the (second) recall. What is the point of issuing a recall when the car owner is unable to obtain the repair at the dealership where they purchased the vehicle? yesterday, I drove the vehicle to a Honda dealership located at a further distance from my home and this dealership (hill country Honda) addressed the recall work. Please note my attempts to obtain an appt & waiting to get a response from gunn Honda occurred over an abt 6 week period that began with my receipt of the 19v-182 recall notice in April.

Takata inflators I am worried about driving my Honda Accord because I think the air bags should be replaced, my car is not currently on the recall list.

Takata recall. Honda contacted me again regarding the takata airbag inflator. I traded this car into an Acura dealer approximately 10 years ago. I have contacted Honda by phone and mail 5 or 6 times yet they still haven't corrected this. Somewhere someone is driving a dangerous vehicle. I sure they could find this car if they followed up correctly. They are obviously not very concerned about safety.

Takara inflators didn't deploy when my vehicle was involved is a horrible front end accident involving injuries also ad for the electrical system problem my climate control never turns on and I've been back and forth at the Honda dealer service department and they can't seem to find the issue they told me its something to do with electrical.

2005 Honda Accord recalled takata airbag inflator.

Received a takata inflator recall on my front passenger airbag which was fixed by the dealership. My air bag light started to come on (while vehicle is parked or in motion) after the repair. This has been ongoing for several months. A diagnostic test is reading error code 92-20 where the front passenger side airbag will go off during an accident whether or not a passenger is in the vehicle.

Airbag inflator recall. Received urgent safety recall notice from state of michigan regarding airbag inflator recall.

2002 Accord collided into the side of another vehicle, causing the Accord's driver airbag to deploy. The metal cap from the driver airbag inflator was blown through the driver airbag fabric and into the driver's neck. The driver's death certificate describes the cause of death "complications of blunt and sharp force injuries of the neck". The hot inflator melted a location on the driver airbag fabric. The vehicle is in a storage facility in phoenix, arizona.

Takata inflators: there are currently four recalls for Honda Accord 2012 for passenger inflators but for my VIN there are none. My vehicle which only has 39k miles failed inspection for my srs light. Regardless of the millions of airbag recalls Honda has done they refused to scan my car for the srs code unless I paid them for it. I went to autozone and had the scan done for free and got srs code 32-10 "open or increased resistance in the right side airbag inflator". I cannot drive my vehicle now because of this and cannot afford to pay the 1400 plus dollars to have these items that shouldn't be defective in the first place repaired. Now I have to wait until my vehicle is added to the recall list.

Takata recall. First Honda recall letter in Feb, 2018. "I-79" Honda supposedly fixed the problem on March 5, 2018. Second card-letter received may 20, 2018. I called the dealer (I-79 Honda), and they said yes, inflator needed to be replaced (again!!). What's going on here???.

Takata inflators having difficulty getting the dealer to take care of the 3 recalls on my car.

We received a letter from Honda automobile division 1919 torreance road, po box 2215, torreance CA 90509-9870 about passenger frontal airbag inflator for 2010 Honda Accord lx. It was purchased from germain Honda of dublin by person named nishi patel, 6715 sawmill road, dublin, OH 43017, e-mail: npatel@germain. Com. The remedy was fixed on 3/20/18 by lindsay Honda 5805 scarborough blvd, columbus, OH 43232, phone#614-328-2850. The front driver and passenger air bags deployed without warning or impact. There were no injuries. The contact called college park Honda at (301) 441-2900 (9400 baltimore Ave, college park, MD 20740) and was informed that there would be a fee for diagnostic testing and air bag inflator replacements. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

Takata inflators: people; how long has this been a problem? it's at least two years old and I just got notification this past Saturday, February 24, 2018. This has been a serious safety problem and I am totally upset in first believing my car was not affected by the recall, and now this. Does Honda realize how many miles I've driven with my wife in the passenger seat, subjected to the possibility of this inflator blowing up? why? I notice that my Honda 2010 Accord is on list for airbag recall list for takata inflator. With numerous attempt to fix my airbag with del, they keep telling me that my VIN is not on the list for recall. I cannot understand why my car is different from other 2010 model. How long do I have to drive with potential life threating airbags in my car?.

I purchased a Honda Accord 2004 v6, with 44,954 miles, certified at carson Honda, in carson California on Feb. 9, 2006. This is my first car purchase from a dealership. I sometimes us to see the airbag light on and the last time I saw I on was about 2 weeks ago. I did call american Honda in torrance,CA. I had concern re. The takata airbag recall. They asked me the mileage of my car I told the rep. ,it had about 170,000, he thought it was funny, because the car had so many miles. I did tell them that I had seen the airbag icon on and I had trouble with the transmission which had to be replaced, they said there are no recalls and end of call. Where can one see old recalls on car? I did receive a card called" important legal notice for owners of vehicles with takata airbag inflators". Chapter 11 case. 17-11375(bls) my car is not in the recall am and am very concerned about the safety of passengers and myself. American Honda or carson Honda are not helping me with my concerns. I feel that vehicles with this takata airbag should be replaced. Is is very scary hat people have died instead of been saved.

My Accord recently turned on the airbag light and was taken to the Honda dealership for inspection. At the Honda dealership it was determined by a Honda technician the vehicle has a code for the driver's airbag inflator and also possible bad clock spring. The Honda advisor referred me to Honda customer support since the vehicle had never been in an accident. I called Honda customer service and they refused to assume responsibility for such an important safety component.
