41 Battery Dead problem of the 2017 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 10/18/2017

Vehicle battery dead after sitting for 3 hours. 3 week old vehicle with 690 miles. Charged the battery and drove to the dealer. The technician checked the battery, charging system and starting system. No trouble was found. I gave a copy of Honda service bulletin 17-032 covering parasitic battery draw from the vsa modulator to the service advisor and asked him to show it to the service manager. The service manager said that my VIN wasn't covered by that bulletin and because what they looked at was in working order they wouldn't do anything else to address the cause of the bead battery. I told them that the issue wasn't addressed and that I will have the vehicle towed to the dealer when it happens again!.

42 Battery Dead problem of the 2014 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 12/08/2016

Safecar. Gov 2-20-17 I keep hearing a sound when I start my vehicle in the morning. Sometimes it happens after work when I start the car to go home. This problem started in December 2016 after my vehicle reached approx 12,000 miles. It's like a grinding sound and is only on for a few seconds. My local dealer said it is normal with Honda. That didn't sound right to me. In addition, after my tire pressure light keeps going on when I'm driving approx 25 miles on the expressway. This has been going on since my vehicle hi check up, 12,170 miles. Then my battery died at 13,129 miles a month and a half after my my multi-point inspection, tire rotation, and oil change. The aaa road side representative said I had bad cells. Today, I read online consumer reports of grinding noise complaints from others who drive a 2014 Honda Cr-v. I called the Honda corporate office who denied hearing the grinding noise complaints. They did give me a case number regarding my premature battery failure. The corporate rep did refer me to your site stating there are no recalls on my vehicle. I am reporting this issues as I think it is strange that all of a sudden at around 12,000 I've suddenly had these weird issues with the vehicle. Could these issues be connected by an electrical short? is the light going on from a short? is the battery going dead from a short? is the grinding connected to a short? I'm frustrated because, I can't keep taking time off from work to deal with vehicle problems. I've attached 2 receipt documents and I can email a recording of me starting my vehicle. Also, here is a link to a 2014 crv owner's public posted video about the same noise: https://youtu. . Read more...

46 Battery Dead problem of the 2012 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 08/20/2014

Significant number of vehicles manufactured in 2012, have a battery problem for which a service bulletin has been created internally within Honda. However, the communication was never sent to the owners, an online query does not show any recalls for this vehicle. Due the lack of communication, the owners had to carry a portable jump station to get the car started everytime the battery died.

47 Battery Dead problem of the 2014 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 06/22/2014

Battery dies randomly and car will not start without a jump. Dealerships could not find problem with battery or car. After a year or so of this Honda replaced battery. It's happening again within about a year. Stopped on the shoulder of busy hwy. . . No way to escape! there are too many people with the same issue. This needs to be adressed.

48 Battery Dead problem of the 2011 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/12/2014

Within the last month, my 2011 crv has had a recurring issue with the door lock. When I hit the unlock button, the driver's door remains locked and will only turn manually. Likewise, it will only lock manually. The other day I couldn't open my trunk because of the locking issue. Because of the unlocking, the sensors affected my dome light and my battery died after 3 years. I have read that this is a common problem, but no recalls yet. It doesn't make sense.

Drove the car next day, every thing was ok. Check out the brakes on my long drive way, every thing seem ok. When over to a friends house, Monday, again same thing happen, went thru a gasoline station, and the electronic stability controls accelerated, was finally able to stop it, when the brakes return to normal. When we were leaving our friends house, the battery was dead. Had to jump start, every thing was ok driving home. Trying to set up a appointment at the Honda dealer today.

51 Battery Dead problem of the 2012 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 02/04/2013

52 Battery Dead problem of the 2012 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 06/09/2012

I was driving into my driveway and put into park. The key would not come out of ignition. Very frustrated it was late at night and I tried wiggling the key. I could turn car off but so it wasn't running but it was on enough for audio to stay on. I drove around hoping I could reset what problem was but did the same thing when I parked. I had to leave key in ignition till the battery died, which took till the next day. We put key in again after it came out and it did the same thing and got stuck again and got hot when we did get it out. We jump started car enough to get to dealership and key did same thing when I parked it there until the battery died and then it was able to come out. They called and said they had to replace the shift assembly. They specifically said in service paper that "the shifter assembly was pinching the wire from the park pin switch causing short electrical dig" and they sent pics and information to tech line.
