3 Anti-theft Controller problem of the 2018 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 07/02/2018

We have been having issues with our driver side door since it was 6 months old they have fixed it twice now including the recall a few months ago, and it is back to not closing. The first time they fixed it when we were waiting on parts the door got totally suck closed and could not be opened any way. This is becoming a safety issue. I have 10 plus videos from over the last 18 months where the door refused to close and bounce back open multiple times I have to switch the door to manual to get it to close, we also get a anti theft error at least 1 time a week and Honda has no idea on that error either. All my photos and videos are too big to attach.

4 Anti-theft Controller problem of the 2018 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 01/29/2018

Beginning at 10,077 miles in January 2018, my vehicle began experiencing lost power to radio/tuner/touch screen at vehicle startup. Many occurrences have been documented with video. This screen also serves as a controller for phone calls, navigation, and it is the backup camera display. Electronic failure symptoms later included issues while the vehicle is in motion: slow navigation system performance, delayed backup camera images when trans is shifted into reverse, display "freezing" with and without hands-free phone system active, unexpected muted phone calls, inability to disconnect a phone call, warning messages appearing on display, anti-theft system failure messages. Each occurrence while the vehicle is in motion represents a distraction of driver attention. The touch screen/display/central controller/audio unit has now had 7 repair attempts. I have full documentation which is too large to upload. Through internet forums, other Honda Odyssey owners have identified their Odysseys as plagued with similar display/controller failures. American Honda motor CO is aware that such problems exist, and they are unable to provide a remedy. Further, american Honda motor CO is unwilling to provide relief and protect me, the consumer, through a voluntary vehicle buyback/repurchase.

When this happened I had been parked and away from the van for at least an hour on both occasions. When I started it to leave the error message was on the screen. Immediately contacted the dealership both times.

7 Anti-theft Controller problem of the 2005 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 05/01/2017

Complaint - air bags & security alarm system takata recall. My Honda van has the airbag warning light intermittently on. Most days, it is not lit, but for instance, driving today, I got the light. Van has never been in an accident and is still the original factory installed equipment. Airbags don't fail unless it is faulty manufacturer such as part of takata recall. Honda van recall is limited to 2004 but I think 2005 can also be affected. Also anti theft security system is out of control and any time is activated.
