The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light, the contact released the brake pedal and depressed the accelerator pedal; however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact believed that the failure was related to the gas saving feature. The vehicle then stalled, but was able to be restarted. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 11,390.

Engine suddenly quite while traveling at highway speed . All gauges, dials, etc. Went blank and vehicle suffered a loss of electrical power. Able to restart each time, either by placing vehicle in "n" or pulling to side of road. Vehicle required no more than two attempts to restart.

Wife was driving on highway oil light came on and she pulled over. Oil was pouring out from the engine. Had it towed to a local mechanic. Consumer was told that counter balance shaft seal. Had popped out.
