The contact owns a 2018 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the rear drivers side sliding door failed to latch securely. The contact stated that when the driver’s side sliding door was closing, the contact heard a whining sound. In addition, the instrument cluster displayed a black screen. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact owns a 2019 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the automatic headlights warning light, the brake warning light, the adaptive cruise control warning light, the lane mitigation warning light, and collision mitigation warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the cause of the failure could be determined. The contact stated that the technician reset the warning lights; however, the failure recurred. The contact concerned that while driving the vehicle a failure might occur regarding the safety of the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to take the vehicle back to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 149,000.
