The contact replaced the brake light switch and the vehicle was repaired. In addition, the contact mentioned that the passenger seat would not detect when an occupant was in the seat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician diagnosed that the seat occupant sensor mat would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 94,500.

My sister and I were on our way to the store, full stop, my sister just got on the front passenger side, my sister noticed that the passenger airbag detection light on the dash remained in the "passenger air bag disengage" position even if my sister was sitting on the passenger seat.
