Side/window Air Bag Problems of Hyundai Accent

The sensor for the passenger side airbag is not working, the cost is not covered by warranty and no recall for my car but other 2015 Accents did have a recall. The cost to repair is $1550.

On easter Sunday 04/01/2018 I was in an accident that caused ,$ 10,800. 00 in front end collision damage , no airbags deployed. The resulting collision caused my seatbelt on break 3 of my left ribs . I had accidentally dropped a closed water bottle between my legs , said bottle then rolled up under brake pedal , after I looked down to see where it went I looked up to my horror discovered a red ishtar with a car stopped if front of me . I slam on what brake I had available cut shell hard right and collided left front of my car into right rear of bumper in front of me , I then ricochet into guard rail thus desert he other front side of my vehicle . Again neither front or side airbags deployed.

The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Accent. While driving 35 mph, the contact rear ended another vehicle. The driver side air bag deployed partially and anti freeze emitted from the air bags into the cabin of the vehicle. As a result, the contact sustained chest injuries, but no medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.

Wife, 64,was driving our one-owner 2004 Hyundai Accent gl on private road approx 15 mph when airbags deployed without any impact of any sort to vehicle. Wife was badly bruised on arms and face and windshield was shattered by passenger side airbag cover when bags deployed. We were fortunate that she was not on busy street or on interstate as this would have certainly resulted in a wreck with severe bodily injury or possible death. Local Hyundai dealership (perkins motors, colorado springs) refused to do anythiing. Hyundai hq customer service committed to "sending us a packet of paperwork to be filled out and returned to them by us and they would get back to us in 6 to 8 weeks once it was received to see if they would do anything. " no one from Hyundai has expressed any interest in seeing the vehicle or responding to a potentially very hazardous vehicle. I am very concerned about their lack of any sense of obligation to see what went wrong and how it might be avoided in the future. Their attitude is that it's our problem and the fact that it is a major safety issue doesn't concern them in the slightest.

I was hit on the left front quarter panel area so hard the car spun around. The side airbags deployed but not the front ones. I had my seatbelt on however was slammed against the steering wheel and my hands impacted the passenger windshield. I was rendered unconscious and had a temporary lapse of memory. I know have a pinched nerve in my lower left back and severe pain and bruising in breast right should area. I have been told that it could take weeks or months to heal. My daughter bought the car brand new a few months ago and was never advised of any recall/safety issues.

On 3/15/11 my right side curtain airbag and passanger seat airbag deployed with no collision or impact or any kind, striking my passanger. I was driving down the road, out of town in jacksonville FL. And almost getting to our destination, and thought we were shot. I pulled into the closest gas station and tried to call jso to make a report, they said they couldn't make a report on manufacturer defect, so I called to make an insurance claim. The next morning I contacted a local Hyundai dealership, and they told me bring it in immediately. Upon bringing in my car they insisted they needed to do a diagnostics test. After 2 days of having my vehicle, and a rental at my exspense, I had to come home to charleston, SC. The dealership in jacksonville, janck hanania's Hyundai of orange park, told my insurance company the airbag deployment was due to used tires on the vehicle. After returning to charleston, I took my car to another Hyundai dealership, hendrick Hyundai north, and finally was given a number to contact Hyundai motors America. The dealership still has my car, Hyundai has told me nothing and still will not except responsibility for the airbag deployment.

I have a 2009 Hyundai Accent my wife weighs a little over 100 pounds when she is a passenger in the car she isn't heavy enough to trigger the passenger side airbag every time. Some times it will work sometimes it won't. We took to the dealer and they said hat everything is working fine.

I got into a collision in las vegas, nevada. I was driving my 2008 Hyundai Accent, I got hit head on and none of the airbags deployed. I was turning and going approximately 5 mph the person who hit me was going 35 to 40 mph. The speed limit on that particular street is 45 mph. My car is a total loss and luckily no one got hurt.

Upon merging into the highway from a yield sign at 30 mph consumer was involved in a front end collision. Upon impact, neither driver's side nor passenger's side air bags deployed.

Driver's side and passenger's side airbags failed to deploy during a thirty-five mile per hour front end collision. Dealer has been contacted. Please provide further details.

Consumer was traveling about 55mph on highway and a tractor was changing lanes, and he didn't have any room. Tractor ran into consumer's vehicle, and driver's side airbag didn't go off. Consumer was injured in accident, manufacturer sent consumer a letter stating that the airbag system was not at fault.

Consumer's son was driving approximately 35mph when he rear ended a pontiac. The driver's side air bag slowly inflated. The block did not move properly, it was stuck on the left side, allowing the air bag to inflate to the right side of the driver. The driver was thrown into the windshield, the passenger side bag did deploy properly. Also, driver side seat belt did not lock upon impact. Vehicle was totalled.

Vehicle was hit head-on at 30 mph by a truck and neither driver's nor passenger's side airbags deployed. After being hit, the vehicle spun around and hit a tree and still no airbag deployment.

While driving consumer was involved in a 25-35 mph frontal collision in which driver side and passenger side air bags did not deploy, cause has not been determine. Please give any further details.
