Engine Stall problems of the 2012 Hyundai Sonata

The engine stop working. When I attempt to start the car, the engine turns, but doesn't start while, sitting at the traffic light the engine stalled and would not restart.

Our 2012 Sonata is now on its 3rd engine (1 original and 2 add'l). These were subject to recall. Went for my routine oil change and my mechanic pointed out that there were metal shavings in old oil and on drain plug. Are we looking at another new engine to be installed. Bought it new as a commuter car because of the warranty, but it has spent more time in shop than me driving it.

While driving in traffic car began to jerk and lose speed though the engine was running. The car stopped in the middle of moving traffic. Transmission fluid spilled out profusely. Transmission was replaced but started to slip again the same day I picked it up after new (remanufactured) transmission was installed by the Hyundai dealer. Prior to this transmission issue, the alternator in my car failed while driving in the middle of moving traffic. This complete transmission failure occurred shortly after a new engine was installed because the original engine seized and failed prior. Alternator was replaced. The newly installed alternator failed again. A new alternator was once again installed. I am now having similar electrical problems yet again and there is a current concern that the vehicle may possibly stop suddenly and hazardously again while in motion.

I have tried three different times to get my recall serviced at hooman Hyundai in inglewood, CA and they have refused to work on my car. I keep getting excuses. This has been going on for almost a year. There is a recall for them to check my engine because it can stall.

I was driving on a 6 lane city road. . I got in a left hand turn lane. There was a car in front of me. The light was red. When it turned to a green arrow. , I pushed on the accelerator to go and the engine had stalled. I had just filled up with gas the night before so I knew I was not out of gas. I turned off the stationary, stalled car and tried to start it again. Nothing! the engine died as I sat at a red light. I had it towed. There was no warning. One minute it was running fine and the next minute without warning signs, it was dead. A few minutes before I had been on a freeway with my car running fine. If it had happened then there could have serious circumstances.

Car stalled while merging on freeway without any warning. Parked car in the emergency lane but had trouble starting car. Finally when car started it only ran for a couple of minutes before stalling a second time while on the street. Cause unknown. About 3 weeks later I started to hear a loud metallic noise come from the engine car stalled at a red light. I believe it has to do with recall #15v568000.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the battery was low and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. When accelerating from idle, such as sitting at a stop sign, stop light, or waiting to pull out onto the highway, the engine will just start to move the car and then delay, allowing you to push the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor with no response for 2-4 seconds. This happens at all times of day and weather. The only common factor is that it happens after the car has been at idle for a moment, such as coasting through a parking lot or sitting at a traffic light. It happens about every 2-4 days. Very dangerous as I have almost been hit twice now pulling out onto a highway only for the engine to stall. The engine never turns off, it just doesn't respond to the accelerator pedal. I see on the internet that this is happening to other people.
