Power Steering Failed Problems of Hyundai Sonata

2017 Hyundai Sonata electronic power steering failed while I was making a turn on 7/25. Once the vehicle is turned off and back on it works. I notice that there is a pop like a potential gear or internal part is broken when turning the steering wheel from left to right and vise versa. It has sense happened everyday following the first event. This seems to be a complaint made by several people and I see no recall as of yet. Hyundai has addressed older vehicles with the same problem and issued a recall but nothing as of yet for 2017 or newer. Had this happened while I was on the interstate or making a sharp turn on a mountain road, as I typically do, it could have forced me into the next car, wall, or even off of a mountain side.

Was changing lanes and tried to pick up speed. At which point my engine locked up and no longer turn over. This caused my power steering to fail, brakes to be applied despite me not pressing them. Then my car began to smell like it was burning. I was going 50 on a highway when this accrued during rush hour.

I was driving my vehicle downtown and my eps light came on along as well as flickering of my low tire pressure and abs light which I believe is breaks failing. But I had failure of my power steering for sure. Out of nowhere I could no longer navigate heavy and slow traffic. I turned the car off and back on only to have all of my gears lock up and not allow me to even attempt at moving it, after turning it off the second time car entirely died and will not start at all. We managed to get the gears unlocked after a few attempts with just the battery on and push it off the busy road to call for a tow truck. I see online that the 2011 Hyundai Sonata has a recall for the power steering failure but my VIN is not covered but I am definitely effected by this recall. The campaign number is 16v190000.

3 times after stopping at a stop sign, power steering failed when accelerating (0-10 mph). Turned car off then on, steering was fine. Dealership could not find a code set or reproduce problem.

Just after beginning my drive home, on a suburban street, warning light for power steering came on and within about 1/4 mile the power steering failed and the steering wheel seized up. A tractor trailer had to swerve in order to avoid hitting myself and my children. The vehicle was taken to the Hyundai dealership who stated that it is an eps failure .

I was driving down a city road and lost all control of my vehicle while turning left into traffic. There was a loud mechanical sound as I turned, the steering wheel locked up, warning lights came on in the dash, and neither my brakes nor my steering would engage. The brakes kicked back on, but I had to force the wheel through loud popping and cracking and a loss of power steering. On three separate occasions, each while driving a very low speed (at or about 10 mph), the power steering failed. When are they going to issue a recall for replacement of this part? Hyundai appears to be knowingly putting the lives of its customers in jeopardy because they don't want to pay to have the problem corrected.

Look online and view all the places that list this problem. This is a big safety issue the vehicle steers very hard and is difficult to control.

Power steering motor failed. Luckily, it failed sometime between when I last drove it and when I attempted to drive it the next day. The steering was extremely difficult to manage, due to the failed motor.

This power steering line runs right along the side of the part of the frame that was inspected and sprayed for the recall, how can this power steering line not be covefred by the recall?.
