Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the vehicle would suddenly reduce speeds and the message "four wheel drive unavailable" and the check engine warning light had illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer reedman toll Chrysler(300 baltimore pike, springfield PA) who replaced the transmission. Later while driving the vehicle would suddenly shut off. The local dealer diagnosed that the fuel pump was faulty. The fuel pump was replaced but the failures continued to occur. Later the water pump was replaced and the transmission would not switch to the park position. The cause of the failure were not yet determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. 2 Water Pump problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2014

Car makes a whistling very loud whistling noise upon startup and continues for up to 5 minutes, evening last while driving. I have taken the car to the dealership 3 times for this issue, was told the first times that it was the barrings? (they were replaced). Noise still occurring, took it back to the dealership and they replaced the pulleys, noise still heard. Next, I was told the water pump was causing the noise, it was replaced but noise still occurring. Now, I am told the noise is coming from the alternator and they will replace that part. I am concerned about the true source of the noise and whether or not it will have a major affect on the engine later on.
