My 2016 Jeep Cherokee latitude 4 x 4 overheated bursting 2 cooling heater hoses, drained out all the antifreeze coolant. Mechanic hopes that head gasket will be the only damage otherwise can ruin the engine and that will cause a engine replacement which will be a very high cost.

Air conditioning suction/discharge hose split and blew off the engine causing loss of air conditioning cooling while in motion on the highway. Recall #r57 clearly shows a recall for this hose being placed too close to the manifold and posing a fire risk or air conditioning loss or warning light. Chrysler states this VIN is not included in the recall although it states 2015 Jeep Cherokee vehicles are affected and this model is in fact a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. We would like to request to be considered for a reimbursement for this repair. Although we feel our previous repair in may of 2018 was also related to this same recall we would like to be considered.

The contact owned a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle caught on fire while parked. The fire department extinguished the fire, but did not file a report. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to an independent facility. The contact was informed that the air conditioner suction/discharge hose fractured, came into contact with the exhaust manifold, and caused the fire. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v676000 (engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 11,000.
Failure of the gas hose, the gas hose rubbed against the axle, causing a hole in the gas line. Ak.
