1 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/11/2019

Car's tipm has been messing up. They say there hasn't been a recall on my model for that and another says it has been fixed. My car won't start at times, my horn honks at random times and just today my car stalled while on the interstate. I know the tipm had been a problem with these vehicles but I cant get any help with mine without paying out of pocket. I've about had it with my Jeep.

2 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2018

This Jeep had the fuel pump recall done on it which was for the tipm relay built in fails causing these Jeeps and durangos to stall out. Well now the whole module is bad per the dealer. This failure is worst than the relay failure. The Jeep stalled out while being parked and would not start again also while not working sitting in my garage the Jeep tried to start on its own and lights and horn going off. Jeep was already sued over this and I have been reading forms with many other customers still having this issue and these modules should have been replaced not placing a bandaid on the relay while the whole module is garbage which is now costing me 1600 and we haven't been able to drive it for a month since she was scared to be left stranded or having the car stall while driving. Please bring this up with them I already emailed asking for help on this problem since they never addressed it the first time it was brought up.

3 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/05/2017

The car started out with intermittant locking and unlocking of doors, horn honking and side window unresponsiveness. It has graduated to daily intermittant ignition issues while stationary and stalling issues while stationary and in motion. I have been notified that it is a common problem with this make model and year with a bad tipm. I have also been norified that the recall has been denied and that the NHTSA doesnt think its dangerous for cars to randomly cut off and for airbags to randomly go off or not go off when needed. This isnt a common "wear and tear" issue and is dangerous, so I am disapointed in your findings.

4 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/28/2017

2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland became possessed. While driving on the freeway, lights began flashing on dash, occasional lurches from transmission, one headlight goes out at night. When I pull over and turn the car off, it will not start. It was as though everything is dead. No response from any button on the key. After about 5 minutes, the headlights began flashing and horn bleating as though emergency. I pressed the "panic" button on the key fob and it stopped. Car now started. I drove a few miles then everything began going crazy again. When I stopped, with car still running, windshield wipers began working as though on intermittent. Then they began wiping fast. I tried turning the wipers on or off, to no avail. They were working with their own mind. Dangerous! I had no idea, while driving on the freeway, if both headlights would suddenly go out (it was night while I was driving) instead of just one, transmission damage may occur (what was causing the lurching?). When I pulled over.

5 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 12/04/2016

First issue to occur was alarm system and horn started going off and locking and unlocking the car when exiting the vehicle in a parking lot. The next issue to occur was one of the courtesy lights began to intermittently stay on continuously both when driving and when the vehicle was parked. 3rd issue to arise was all of the back up lights stopped working altogether. The last occurrence was the engine light came on and coded there was a leak in the fuel system while driving. Vehicle is currently at dealership awaiting authorization to replace the tipm and another sensor.

6 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/17/2011

Intermittent electrical problem -- alarm sounds, horns honk, lights flash, radio comes on at all hours, day or night, when car is not running, parked in driveway, on its own, without fobs or people nearby. Car does not have an alarm system! panic button on fob not pushed. Racket stops after ~15 minutes, on its own, until the next incident anywhere from a week to several weeks later. June 12, 2014, there were two incidents on the same day, once in the morning, while driving, once in the late afternoon when parked and not running. No error codes in vic. Car starts and runs normal with all the racket the going on, but there is no way to stop the flashing lights. Pulling the two fuses for the horns leaves only the flashing lights, but no horns if they are needed. Headlights switch ineffective. Lights continue to flash when headlights are turned on as if circuit is bypassed.
