Ticking noise from left head.
Engine has a ticking noise at 158000 miles. I have changed oil routinely at dealership . I have replaced tires, tuneup, replaced a/c motor and compressor and tried to sell it so can buy a new Jeep but 3 people were concerned about engine noise. Dealership says dirt gets in motor and it will cost over 3k to fix it. I am now stuck with this car until it stops working. I am not going to be a returning customer to fca.
I have took my vehicle for a shifter recall. They did a programming they said and that it should have fixed the problem. I explained to Chrysler capital about how my vehicle would shift into neutral after throwing itself into other gears. I would have to turn off the vehicle and begin driving again. Now my vehicle hardly drives and the transmission makes a loud cracking noise. This recall made my transmission go out.
About two months ago my suspension started to act up. Now my suspension is stuck completely at the lowest point. The engine has a ticking sound and now it doesnt run right.
2014 jgc with pentastar 3. 6l v6 gas engine started making a ticking sound at start up approximately 3 weeks ago. The sound did not diminish after warm up. Diagnosed today as a failed lifter and possible cam damage as well. Inquired of the dealer about TSB 09-002-14 and was told this issue was limited to only 2011-2013 model years and that the engine in my vehicle was made after the date of the affected engines and was not included in the repair/warranty being offered by fca regarding the engine. The vehicle was manufactured in June 2013 and purchases in September 2013.
