Issues to date: these issues are not dependent on which key fob is present or which memory setting is pushed. It happens on all memory and personalization settings. --the collision warning and adaptive cruise randomly say they are active or inactive. . Sometimes they don't do anything. When clicking the check box for near or far, sometimes it will "uncheck" while you are watching it. Sometimes you can click far, then it moves to near all on its own. --randomly the check marks for other various customizations disappear. Randomly they reappear. --nav/radio randomly reboots. This occurs in park, and while driving at all speeds --nav has completely lost me and put me in the middle of a large body of water (have picture) --ac doesn't come on when vehicle is remotely started. It was set to auto and 74 when the vehicle was shut off. --radio settings don't change when you push for occupant one or two-- then again sometimes it changes just because --xm service sometimes takes 30 seconds or more to load. . My phone was not linked to it. The girl on the other end hung up on me after I refused to provide my VIN which the vehicles center console says it sent. I have been working with the local dealership. They replaced the center console/nav unit yesterday and nothing changed.

40 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 06/19/2013

I am concerned that Chrysler is not including my effected year Jeep but is leap frogging to the 2002-2007 Jeep libertys. I have the same configuration as the 1993-1998 Jeeps. Does not seem fair.

41 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 05/24/2013

I have been having multiple problems with the brakes in my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee purchased brand new in may. It has a total of 1,000 miles on it, but the problems started with only 10miles. The instrument cluster immediately lights up like a christmas tree and then the check engine light remains on. The rearview mirrors move into downward facing positions while in park and while driving. This alone is a major safety hazard. The abs brakes intermittently work and finally failed. The abs module failed. The backup camera works intermittently and the backup warning system also is intermittently working. My car has been at the dealership every month since I have purchased it and it has currently been there for the last 2 â½ weeks awaiting an abs repair.

42 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 05/01/2013

I am currently leasing a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee - the lease started in may 2013. Since driving the car off the lot I have had constant problems with the radio/navigation/bluetooth and back-up camera - none of them work 90% of the time. The car often wont turn off even after turning it off (ie radio wont go off headlights wont turn off). I have taken the car in twice for repairs and the problems are no better. I have 2 other friends with the exact same car and the exact same problems.

43 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 12/20/2012

2005 Jeep cherokee limited. There has been an issue for years reguarding the plactic door panels interrior of the car. With all 4 doors cracked and 1 ( drivers door) will not open from the inside. This is a life safety to all occupants in this car. With a crash or fire to happen and you cant get out of a door due to poor design of the door by the manufactor. Theses door panels start out with small hair cracks and one time of opening the door you have cracked all the plastic and not able to open up the door. I feel that Jeep needs to stand up and correct this issue on a recall. After this happeneing you can take it in and they will put the new design that doesnt have this poor design for just over 800 dollars a door. So with this manufactor making a change to the panel, says they knew it was a poor design. This is happeneing to my understanding Jeeps of 2005- to around 2010. I have paid close attenetion to the same year that I own and 90% of the time you see the cracks at the handels inside. Please lets figure somthing out before people lose there kids life or there own life.

44 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 12/19/2012

This vehicle is equipped with a adaptive speed sensor that keeps the vehicle at a preset distance from the vehicle in front with cruise control on. Vehicle is also equipped with a forward collision warning system which warns the driver to brake if it senses an approach of an object that is unsafe. The problems: the system will shut it self off, flashing a warning that the forward collision warning system is not working and shuts off the cruise control as well. System always resets itself after minutes, or longer and the cruise control will once again, work. Safety issue the system has the ability to brake on its own if it senses you are approaching a vehicle too fast with cruise control engaged. The problem is that a car may turn off in a separate lane to decelerate or be in a separate lane to accelerate and the sensor thinks the car is in front of it and starts braking severely cause it thinks it is in its path. This is a huge safety concern since any driver behind me would not be expecting me to brake when cars are not in my path. The vehicle has been to Jeep dealer for numerous attempts to fix it. Right now Chrysler is not doing anything about it. According to the repairing dealership, if Chrysler did decide to replace the part, its on back order.

45 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 10/17/2012

Both rear (left and right) door handles have broken clean off. The front two door handles have broken and chipped, but are still intact. No one in my back seat can get out without someone having to get out of the car and let them out from the outside. These have not had excessive pressure or pulling on them, they have just resulted in 3 out of 4 door handles being broken due to normal use and force for exiting the vehicle. There needs to be a recall on this part as I have seen multiple complaints about the same thing happening to others Jeep cherokees. My car is a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a hemi, limited edition.

47 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The area right above all 4 door handles are cracked and ready to come off the door. Which would leave me with no way to exit my car.

48 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 05/05/2011

Tire pressure drops after 1 day of driving approx. 12 miles a day. I had replaced one about 20000 miles ago. Now both the front tire and spare have the same problem, the issue is the tire pressure monitor sensor valve.

50 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 02/14/2011

3 out of 4 of the interior door handles molding are broken and because of that, you can not open the doors from the inside using the doors handles. You have to let down the windows to open both of the back and front passenger doors in order to get out of the car. The driver side is beginning to have the same trouble with opening. The dealer price for replacement cost is about $200+ not including labor. I checked the internet for a solution only to discover that is a major problem with this year's model and many complaints have been filed with Chrysler. All said that Chrysler refused to help with the problem which is very costly for the average working person. To me it is a serious safety hazard when driving the car. What if the car catches fire, or rollover in a accident or goes in a body of water? I am hesitate to drive the vehicle because of that. All car owners expect to make repairs to their vehicle from daily use. However, it should not be the owner responsibility to pay for a repair when it is a know fact that many owners are having the same problem on the same model and year of the vehicle. Chrysler should be made to have recall to correct the problem.

51 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 06/01/2009

Both the front & rear cheap plastic interior door handles have fallen out and broken into pieces. . . Thanks Jeep!.

52 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 09/30/2008

The interior panel handles are all broken, I called the dealer and they said this would cost around 1,400 dollars to replace each frontside handles, by doing research over the internet I've notice that this is a very common defect on this vehicles, at this moment chrisler doesnt want to take any responsabilities on this defect. I am worry that in case of an accident my family and me could get stock inside the car.
