The contact leased a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the brakes were inoperable. While driving in a parking lot, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle was slow to respond. The abs, traction control, and brake warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to the wiring. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle at the dealer parking lot, the same warning lights illuminated. The brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The vehicle remained at the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 5,364.
