The contact stated that the braking system malfunctioned, causing an extended stopping distance. The contact stated that occasionally the brakes failed to respond while reversing. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who reprogrammed the brake module, but the warning light remained illuminated. The contact was informed that the hydraulic control unit was faulty but was not covered under the manufacturer service campaign.
