When putting vehicle into park, vehicle does not always engage park gear properly, causing vehicle to go into reverse gear. Please provide details.
Problem seemed to be with the shift linkage to the transmission. Keys would also not come out of the car because I could not get it in "park". After putting significant pressure on the shifter, vehicle did go into park and then was "ok". I did call a local dealer who seemed to be familiar with the problem and recommended the "heavy pressure" fix.

Differential/transfercase: loud clunking noise from rear, 'roaring' noise at speeds of 30-40mph and 65-75mph. Engine: stalls(dies out) when idling in gear and when putting gear from park to reverse, delear doesn't know how to fix. Vehicle lunges forward when coming to a stop, almost hit vehicle in front - dangerous. Idles roughly, rpms go up and down at stops, stalls. Steering: pulls to right, dealer says alignment is fine.
