The heater in my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland has failed due to a known defect in the temperature blender door that prevents heat from getting redirected onto the windshield to defrost the glass. Chrysler has to my knowledge not issued a voluntary recall to fix this problem. This is a serious safety issue here in montana where we need to be able to see in winter weather. I was nearly in an accident this morning with my 6-year old son in the car due to the windshield freezing up and my not being able clear the glass. Please, please, please issue a recall notice to force Chrysler to fix this known problem. I am sure there are many other Jeep owners who have filed similar complaints. This is a safety issue just as important as the seat-heater recall for the same model. Thank you. Bill haynes.

This is the second time that we have had a problem with windows falling down while driving down the road. The first time the dealership did split the cost of 500. 00 with us but not the latest. This seems to be and ongoing problem with this part that is made of plastic. I wish I had known about all the problems with the windows before buying this Jeep.

The contact owns a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the driver side window only rolled a quarter of the way down. Minutes later, the passenger side window dropped all the way down. She has not notified the manufacturer or a local authorized dealer. The failure and current mileages were 146,000.
Rear passenger (electric) window fell down and would not go back up. I purchased an extended warranty when I purchased the vehicle (70k) with a $100 dollar deductible. I took the vehicle in to have the problem fixed and was charged a $98 fee to look at the problem. I was called the next day and informed that I would have to pay another $98 to further diagnose the problem. When I told the dealership I would not pay anymore money because of my warranty, they disconnected the switch and rolled the window up instead. This problem remains unresolved.
Fourth time a window regulator has to be replaced.
: the contact stated without incident, the driver and passenger side windows cracked. The vehicle was taken to the dealership for the driver side window and the window was replaced. Also while traveling 55 mph, the electrical system shut down. The vehicle was pulled over and turned off. It was restarted and was taken to the dealership, who was unable to determine the problem.

I was travelling approximately 55 mph with the sunroof open and all the other windows closed when the rear window imploded inward. There was no evidence of anything hitting the window and there were no other cars or people in the near vicinity. I am wondering if some kind of pressure could have been created that caused the window to implode. It was quite violent when it happened and could have easily caused an accident.
