The transmission would disengage when driving in the mountains causing sever deceleration almost killed me in traffic. The suspensions front and rear are absolutely horrendous. Suspensions makes loud screeching noises. Rear suspension is almost non existent. Rear suspension bounces sideways or rolls more sideways while driving over bumps on highway. Steering is loose. And electrion control issues as well.

The steering is loose and unstable. Every time you hit any bump the steering wiggles from left to right. Per Jeep this is normal for the vehicle. The steering is constantly feeling as if it will lose control. The only way I can describe this is that the steering control is loose. It is unsafe, I've come to get used to the steering wheels jumpiness and the vehicles instability in the road.
My vehicle has under 65k miles and has gone through 3 rack and pinion units under warranty. They go out every 20k miles or so. Each time they do, steering becomes loose and unpredictable and has the potential to cause a loss of control of the vehicle. This issue is not unique to my vehicle as I have read of many others having the same issue. The manufacturer refuses to address the core issue, the rack and pinion unit in this vehicle is prone to failure and needs to be permanently addressed. My current rack and pinion unit was replace just over a year ago, less than 6000 miles and is already failing again. Unfortunately I did not maintain all of my documentation as I had no idea this would be an ongoing concern.

When driving at low speeds there is a knocking/grinding when turning the wheel to the left which has became louder and more frequent. Since this began the steering is now loose and pulls as if needing an alignment although this was done approx. Less than 1 yr ago. It has became difficult to keep car straight when driving although I have not experienced a loss of power steering (yet). Possibly related to recall but it doesn't appear my VIN was included. This is a huge safety issue! I have heard several complaints of steering failing while traveling causing wrecks. They should reconsider the range of vehicles included in this recall.
