Airbag warning light and audible tone comes on intermittently goes and comes while driving and or idling. Passenger side inflator was replaced with recall. Researching this warning many 2014 jk's are experiencing this problem. Research points directly to the clock spring. Failure Date: 08/08/2019

Tamara inflators, I've tried to schedule an appointment with Chrysler to get my airbag replaced. I was informed by a woman named wendy that I would be waitlisted for the airbag. I was pregnant at the time, so I frequently called as I was going to be putting a new born in my vehicle. Wendy then told me that the replacement for the recall has been recalled. I have not been formally informed of the recall of the recall. I do not feel safe driving my car with a newborn or in general.

4 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2012 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 06/06/2019

I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler I bought in August 2018. This June my air bag light came on and dings every once in a while. I had it looked at by my mechanic and they found that the clockspring needs replaced. I looked at all recalls, I noticed thru the NHTSA the recalls listed are for only right hand drive 2012 Jeeps. Why would it matter right or left hand drive?? they use the same parts. So my question is, is this recall good for my Jeep?? as of right now I have no air bag protection. I did however have the takata air bag inflator recall done. I think this is a big problem for Jeeps of all years. I think this should be on the recall list as all not worded as right hand drive Jeeps.

6 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2014 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 03/20/2019

There is currently a recall our on the front passenger airbag inflator (pab). I scheduled an appointment on at premier cape cod on March 19th to have it serviced for the recall on March 30th, to be told they don't do recalls on saturdays. I work and live two hours from this location so it's very inconvenient for me to get to this location during the work week, as I travel frequently as well. The earliest I can get the Jeep to the cape is Friday, April 26th and even that is substantially inconvenient - they are unwilling to provide me with a loaner for the service as well. I'm disappointed and concerned given that "an inflator explosion may cause metal fragments to pass through the air bag and into the vehicle interior which may result in injury or death. " anyway, just thought I'd put in my two cents.

I would like the passenger airbag inflator replaced with a safe one at no expense to me.

14 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2007 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 11/08/2016

Takata recall (s43) airbag inflator and safety recall (s33) airbag clockspring I have tried three times to get these recalls addressed at the hilton head Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership where I purchased this vehicle. The service manager claims the parts are on back order. This has been going on since I received the recall notices earlier this year. These are potentially life threatening conditions which this manufacturer/dealer is unable or unwilling to address.

15 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2009 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 10/24/2016

Takata recall (s43 / NHTSA 16v-352): I have been waiting several months for a replacement passenger side air bag inflator replacement and get no answers other than no parts are available. What action is the NHTSA taking against Chrysler/Jeep/mopar and takata on this? this is ridiculous that I am told that I should not have a passenger as this thing can fail. Is there any legal recourse than can be taken? bradley eleeson 7708 w. 67th st. Sioux falls, sd 57106.

16 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2008 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 10/21/2016

Takata inflators:the recall was sent out July 1, 2016. As of oct. 20, the status is "incomplete, parts not available. " apparently, on impact, the inflator can spew metal parts, piercing the airbag and causing the ever (un)popular "injury or death" to vehicle occupants. I think 3 1/2 months is waaaay long enough for Jeep to come up with a replacement part, or at least offer to disable the airbag. I'd rather take my chances, than have a defective part kill me, thank you very much.

17 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2011 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 07/26/2016

Takata inflators. After calling Jeep Chrysler regarding the recall notification I was informed that the company does not have a fix, other than not allowing passengers. As they do not have a repair I inquired about the other options (buy back and trading for a non affecting vehicle) and was informed that Jeep Chrysler would not perform either action in accordance with the NHTSA guidelines. If companies are required to comply with federal guidelines, how can they arbitrarily chose not to honor them? we are a single vehicle home and now we cannot use it to transport our family without risk of injury or death and Jeep Chrysler has no repair in place and they will not accept a return or a swap to a safe vehicle.

20 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2011 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 07/01/2016

Takata recall (recall date July 1, 2016) of recall number s43 for a front passenger airbag, and I have called Jeep/mopar on at least 3 occasions. On the last call they assured me that I would have the airbag inflator replaced on or about January 31, 2017. There will most certainly be a recording of this call, which was on or about December 24, 2016. On February 17, I again called mopar at 1-800-853-1403, and was told by rachel (employee/nic number ri183) that the parts would not be available until March 31, 2017. I am in one of the hottest and most humid areas of the USA, southwest florida, and my vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler unlimited, VIN # 1j4ha3h19bl554664, is a 2011 model, so it is among the older vehicles in the recall. I asked the call center representative named above to transfer me to a supervisor, and first she told me that no supervisor was available, them that no supervisor could be located, than that the supervisor was in a meeting. She said I would have to receive a call-back, or I could hold. I was on a cell phone, so I asked for a call-back. That was at about 10:30 in the morning and I did not receive a call at all that day. Auto makers can, with impunity, continue to put airbags and sensors in new vehicles, and continue to sell them, while not standing behind those they have already sold. Sensors needed for those consumers who previously put their trust in this component manufacturer and in Jeep. I am asking for your help, as I don't expect to get a return call as I was promised, and I do expect that when I call again, mopar will walk back the promise of a March 31, 2017 parts arrival.

24 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2007 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 05/26/2016

Takata recall - it has almost been a year since the takata recall was announced. In that time, I have been notified by Jeep once. As it appears that the Wrangler is the only vehicle in their line that is affected, I do not understand why this has not been addressed. I have a 2007 Wrangler and live in alabama which is "zone a" for the recall. I have a colleague that has a similar aged vehicle from Toyota that was told to park the car and was provided with a loaner by Toyota until a fix was available because of the potential danger. As this is the vehicle that I use to drive my child to and from school, this concerns me. It seems that Jeep is making no effort to remedy this problem, and I am left putting passengers of my vehicle in danger. Any effort to contact Jeep have resulted in no response. I would much prefer to have the airbag disabled and/or removed until a fix is available rather than a potential hazard for my child. Even a new inflator that is no so old would be a better temporary fix. I would appreciate seeing some action on Jeep's part or some action on the part of NHTSA to force the issue.

25 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2009 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 05/17/2016

Takata inflators: I receive warranties on the passenger airbag inflator and the airbag clock spring which was perfect because the light has been going on and off for some time. Now I'm being told this is not why the airbag light is on I am being told the driver side airbag has something wrong with it being able to deploy. Would this have anything to do with the clockspring? they are still replacing the recalled parts but my concern is why would this all of a sudden happen when there is issues with the air bags as it stands now?.

26 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2010 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 11/12/2015

Tamara inflators see where right hand drive has been recalled. Took my Jeep to dealer, they told me they have seen hundreds with this problem, one dealer. Also said my airbags was disabled because of this. I would like to know I am safe after paying this much for a Jeep. I only have 64,000 miles on it. Dealership said they should be recalled, so many 2010.
