3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 03/20/2021

A car came into my son's lane. To avoid a head on collision, he veered right and went head on with a guardrail. Air bags did not deploy and the seatbelt did not lock. He was on hwy 1090. We find out tomorrow if the Jeep will be totaled because it has frame damage. The Jeep dealership that has the Jeep right now could not tell us why the air bags did not deploy and the seat belt did nothing lock.

4 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2011 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 11/27/2020

My airbag light keeps coming on intermittently. Took it to a dealership and says the clock spring has gone bad. I see there is a recall for Jeep's that are right handed for this same issue. I also see on the forums and this website that it is happening to a lot of left handed Jeep Wranglers. I think the recall should be for both. This is a safety hazard as I learn my drivers side airbag will not deploy if I am in a wreck.

5 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2016 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 10/20/2020

Recall # s40, NHTSA 16v-288 needs to be expanded!!! my clockspiring assembly is bad in my vehicle, and my airbag light is on. The dealership said if I get in an accident the air bag will not deploy. There is a recall out for certain 2016 rhd vehicles for the clock spring assembly. Certain vehicles manufactured between 2011 and may of 2016 fall into the recall. My vehicle was manufactured during that time, however for some reason my VIN number is not included in this recall-why? the same clock spring that was recalled in certain VIN numbers has gone bad in my vehicle also-which is a right hand drive. Speaking with chrystler directly about this they said there is nothing they can do because my VIN number is not included! this is not ok! it is an issue effecting air bad deployment! I am a rural mail carrier-and I am risking my life every day. If a vehicle rear ends me or hits me-my air bad will not deploy and that's my life! for chrystler to know about this issue in vehicles and not take care of it in mine is not ok! and I expect something to be done!.

6 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 07/03/2020

I swerved to miss a deer. I ran off a big drop off&hit on mainly the driver's side. There was over $26k damage repairs done. They have decided to total my Jeep with a little over 36k miles. I ran off the raid&hit on mainly the driver's side. My air bags never deployed but most importantly my seat belt did not prevent me from hitting my face on the steering wheel. I have a gash above my right eye that the emts advised me to go to a hospital to have stitches. Butbwith the covid-19 epidemic fully in force I decided not to go to the next county for medical. Assitance since my local hospital is not equipped to preform the medical assistance that was needed. I missed several. Days of work for this incident. I'm asking for answers to why my air bags did not deploy but most importantly I'm wanting & needing to know why my seat belt did not prevent my face from hitting the steering wheel & also warping my steering wheel in the process. Please I need answers for I've always wanted & dreamed of owning a Jeep. Then I finally was able to purchase one but I need to know that it is also safe for me & my family.

Clockspring recall: other year models of the same generation Wrangler show a clockspring recall, but my year model doesnt. My clockspring has failed now and I lost most of the steering wheel controls, including my safety horn, and if my research is correct, my driver side air bag will not deploy now if in a collision accident. When turning my windshield wipers would turn on randomly, and then when driving shortly afterwards I went to honk at animals in the road and the horn did not work. The next day I noticed that the radio and driver information center controls on the steering wheel did not work either.

20 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2013 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 11/20/2018

Airbag light came on, took to dealer they said clockspring clogged which shuts down airbag functionality, need to replace clockspring. Checked web, found that Chrysler recalled all Jeeps year 2007 thru 2011(393,000) for design defect of clockspring stating it can get clogged resulting in inoperable airbag like my son experienced. Then noticed they recalled 2011 thru 2016 right hand drive for same defect. I asked if our clockspring was same design which response was yes so I asked why ours wasn't recalled and covered by Chrysler and response was it wasn't. If product is same for all those years it should be recalled because accident will happen and someone will get seriously hurt if airbags do not deploy. Clockspring is same design in my son's Jeep as all the others that were recalled.
