2 Instrument Panel Failure problem of the 2012 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 10/27/2014

Tl- the conta t 2012 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the instrument panel cluster failed to work. The contact noticed that there was an intermittent short occuring upon turning the parking lights, fog light, headlights and tail lights off and on. There were also no audio controls nor function of the horn plus the features on the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who held the vehicle for several weeks and indicated that the instrument cluster was not available. The contact was not given a timeframe that the part would become available to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. 3 Instrument Panel Failure problem of the 1999 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 03/03/2014

The contact owns a 1999 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon initial start-up, the instrument panel failed and would not illuminate. The failure was recurring. The contact would turn the engine off and once restarted, the failure would sporadically reset. Additionally, the vehicle stalled more than five times without warning. The contact owns a 2003 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the multi-function switch was replaced twice within the last two years. The contact also stated that when the failure occurred, the headlights, turn signals, fog lights and instrument panel fail to illuminate. Water pump leaked - fixed under warranty, gas tank seal leaked - fixed under warranty, seats ripped - fixed under warranty, suction cup marks on window - fixed under warranty, front stabilizer shock leaked - fixed under warranty, rear window seal leaked - repaired under warranty two times and still leaks, instrument panel fails - out of warranty not repaired, radiator failed - out of warranty fixed at my cost, stabilizer arm failed both sides twice - fixed under warranty once and the out of warranty fixed at my cost, exhaust manifold failed - out of warranty - fixed at my cost, clutch fork failed - out of warranty fixed at my cost, leak under the dash board passenger side - fixed under warranty. Of all the problems above. . . Loss of instrument panel needs to be fixed by the manufacturer regardless of in or out of warranty. Loss of gauges is a driving distraction and can result in an accident. Jeep needs to address this manufacturing defect as long as this vehicle is on the road.

Failure Date: 03/01/1999

The contact owns a 1999 Jeep Wrangler. While driving 50 mph, the instrument panel gauges failed and the words "no bus turned" were displayed. This failure has occurred numerous times.
