1 Gasoline Engine problem of the 2003 Land Rover Freelander

Failure Date: 03/24/2008

Like all other 2003 Land Rover Freelanders it seems, mine has a blown head gasket, piston sleeve problems, and a potentially cracked head block, among other problems. This vehicle and its engine in particular has been a problem for almost everyone who has owned one.

2 Gasoline Engine problem of the 2002 Land Rover Freelander

Failure Date: 01/20/2008

The car is just poorly designed and a disaster. Despite our regular maintenance at manufacturer's dealers & at normal intervals, the car's engine & transmission failed. Repair costs readily exceeded the value of the vehicle. All with less than 65,000 miles. Land rover & Ford were un-willing to assist in any way. We are out of the car and will not purchase lr or Ford products in the future.
