Started my car and put it into gear. It did not move. I have the car at the dealership. The shifter cable needs to be replaced which will cost $500 for parts and labor. Please let me know if I have any recourse in obtaining reimbursement for this cost.
While trying to park and when shifting from neutral or drive, unless release button is firmly held in all the way, shift lever will stop in the reverse position, consumers unaware of this will think they are in park, release button has to be in all the way in order for it to shift into park.
