5 Car Stall problem of the 2014 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 11/06/2018

With no consistancey, the car would loose power. At times, I thought the car would loose full power, in the middle of my commute, I would be forced to pull over and shut the car off. Most times, the car would return to normal conditions. When I brought it in for repair, byers Mazda of columbus, told me it needed a tune-up. Once again, the car almost stalled out and I managed to coast into a parking space. Now the same dealership is informing me for the first time that the car has an I-loop system and the battery that should have lasted five years, now less than the 3 years old, needs to be replaced for over $500. 00. I bought this car used with an extended warranty and although it was my mistake, the dealership never disclosed the I-loop system and the problems that go with it. This I-loop battery will apparently last 2-3 years only and is very expensive. I guess it is legal for dealership sales reps to misrepresent the car maintenance because they say it is my responsibility to know what I purchased. I will never buy from byers auto for any model car!.

11 Car Stall problem of the 2003 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 07/27/2012

While driving home the car seemed to have lost all power, but was still running. I was able to coast to my house but then tried to stop and the car surged. I had to pull the emergency brake to stop. I was quite shaken at that point. The engine light came on. I was able to drive it back to town to have the car checked, no error codes showed up on the computer. The engine light did go off, the car ran fine for about 3 months then proceeded to do the same thing. The car lost power but I was able to coast to my place of work. However even though there seemed to be no power again when I tried to brake the car surged and the car almost jumped the curb, which would have put me in my office. I again had the vehicle checked, no errors. After researching it seems this may be due to the automatic throttle sensor. Question with all the complaints, cars stalling at high speeds and the surging of vehicles why is there no recall. You recall for a stupid lights, over spraying of a clear coat, but no recall on something that is putting people in danger?? I don't understand.

14 Car Stall problem of the 2006 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 02/15/2007

I currently own a Mazda 6 (2006) which I acquire o March 13, 2007. Since February 15, 2007 my car started to stalls and shut off. I had taken my vehicle back to the dealer (Mazda jim click) for repairs since the problem arise. When I bought the vehicle I also paid for an extended warranty platinum (pas). The extended warranty is for 72 months or 100,000 miles which ever occurred first which include any mechanical or electronic problems in the vehicle. The vehicle had been in the services department for repairs five different occasions. They had exchanges parts off the vehicle because apparently that was the issue but up to this moment the problem persists. Back in June 6, 2006 I took my vehicle back to the dealer for the same issue. The service department kept my vehicle for 39 days; my car was return to me on July 15, 2008 and apparently again the car was fixed. On August 2, 2008 the vehicle stall and shut off again; the problem persist for 3 days on a roll and thats when I decide to call jim click so they can towed the vehicle back to the dealer. Since that date the dealer is still trying to locate what is causing the vehicle to stall. Now the dealer decides to exchange the computer in the vehicle. When the dealer towed by vehicle back to the service department on August 4, 2008; I informed the service department manager that I will be contacting the bbb for this issue. Current miles: 52300 (aprx. ). At this moment I have a claim open with the bbb and Mazda north american operations has contact me.

15 Car Stall problem of the 2002 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 04/22/2005

I have a 2002 Mazda tribute ES v-6, I purchased in February, 2002. I began complaining of electrical issues (. . . Specifically battery charging/maintaining charge), at 15000 miles. Initially, the car would lose battery charge; but in January, 2005, the fuel injection system would not operate properly. The battery was determined to be faulty; and was replaced at no charge. The mileage was 29,527. April 22, 2005. . . I was in the west-bound lanes of interstate 90, in spokane, wa. The freeway is under construction, with 3' shoulders; then concrete barriers. It was 5:30 pm, rush hour. The car died completely; not even enough electrical power to activate the emergency flashing lights. I immediately dialed 911 and the state patrol; as I could see the potential, for a major, multiple car crash! I exited the car and got outside the concrete barrier, running back about 100 yards; waving to the oncoming traffic to slow down, and "merge. " I then ran back to the car; and got out my emergency battery booster, attaching it directly to the battery. I was frightened of being rammed; but felt it important to warn oncoming traffic. The booster had enough reserve power, to start the engine!! I drove down the shoulder, with the hood up; until I reached the next exit. I pulled off on the shoulder, clear of traffic. . . Fearful the booster would not keep the car running much longer. The state trooper pulled-up, and congratulated me for "being very courageous; but perhaps foolish. "she could see the west-bound lanes, from pines road, where she crossed the freeway, to get to me. Traffic was "backing-up" very quickly. . . And far to the east! she was very surprised there had been no major accident. The dealer informed me, the battery was defective. The battery is only 3000 miles "old. " is there an ongoing electrical problem, that will leave me stalled again; or cause a fire?! there are ongoing problems with the suspension, transmission, and valve train.
