1 Engine Cooling System problem of the 2009 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 07/12/2011

I was driving with my ac on in my 2009 Mazda 6 and the car began to overheat and the ac got hot. I had to pull over with my infant in the car into the nearest parking lot. The car was brought to Mazda and they said that the cooling fan for the motor and the ac were faulty, but since the car was 4,000 miles over warranty, they would only give $200 toward the $907 job for their faulty part. I looked it up and there is a TSB for this part. Nhsta item #10032548 . If there are many others having a problem with this faulty manufactured part on relatively new cars I believe there should be a recall. It was the hottest day of the summer here when the ac went and my car started to overheat with my 6 month old in the car. My car only has 40,000 miles on it.

2 Engine Cooling System problem of the 2002 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 04/19/2007

2002 Mazda mpv transmission and water pump went out at 58,000 miles. Not under warranty and Mazda will not accept any responsibility for the repair. The car just died in rush hour traffic, and luckily no accident occurred. The fix was $4,000 in repairs paid by me. Six weeks later, I am told that I have to replace a coil and spark plug for another $500. The mechanic even said that I may have to replace more coils in the coming months.

3 Engine Cooling System problem of the 2004 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 07/31/2006

2004 Mazda 6 made a rattling sound in the front end. Upon inspection mechanic determined the radiator had a hole in it, and one fan blade broke off of the fan. ***** the hole in the radiator caused steam to come from under the hood. Although it was evident that the vehicle was overheating the temp gauge remained in the normal range and did not indicate overheating.

4 Engine Cooling System problem of the 2006 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 05/27/2006

My new 2006 Mazda 6 sedan that was purchased from the dealer 30 miles away from s. F. . Right after driven home, it had the severe overheating smell inside and outside the car. Such overheating smell occurred even when moving the car to the curb. Dealer said it was new cars burning off smell. Took it to the local dealer: changed the engine cooling thermostat, the radiator cap, coolant reservoir tank and re-flashed the powertrain. Was told that residual smell will linger for a couple weeks. The overheating smell persists inside the car when the air vent is set at cold outside air. Usually smell starts in about 5 minutes after a mile of ordinary city drive at 25 mph to 35 mph on flat road. It gets stronger and sometimes hot air blows in when the day is warm (around 68f to above 70f). If car is parked for hours in an open space after several miles drive, hot air and smell blows immediately at start and stay on. On freeway the smell is less strong but becomes very bad when exit to a stop sign. During the cooler days of 50f to 65f, the onset of the overheating smell is delay. There is no such smell in the vent air when set for ã‚warmã‚ air at night or at ã‚air conditionã‚ to check if smell is from air duct. Now the car has 3000 miles on it and the smell problem still exists. A few times I have headache after driving with the smell. For this problem I have taken the car four times between both dealers and called the Mazda customer service center two times. Each time they did a pressure leak test and told me the car is ok within manufacturerã‚s specs. They all claimed that there is no such smell in the driving conditions as I described. Nothing is done because they cannot recreate the problem. Last month found oil stain under car and some radiator hoses turn white with powder. Last week the local dealer changed the leaking strut and the slightly leaking overflow tube to the coolant reservoir tank. It also said color change of radiator hose into engine is normal.

5 Engine Cooling System problem of the 2003 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 04/01/2005

I purchased my 2003 Mazda6 in June of 2003. Since then it has been in the shop for mutiple problems. Several recalls of course, but the first major problem came when the car was about 1 year old and my radiator seam at the bottom seperated. They replaced the radiator. When I picked the car up my air conditioning was not working, so I returned the car and the problem was fixed at that time. April of 2005, my car only had about 19,000 miles on it my air conditioning started blowing hot air. I took it to the dealer and the stated that my freon was low and charged it up. I asked how that could be with a car as new as this one and they stated, it was normal. For a car that is less than 2 years old?? last week, August of 2005, once again my air is blowing hot, particulaly when sitting in an idle position, works better upon accleration. I took it to the dealer and they stated the control fan module was bad and replaced it,which by the way had already been replaced with a recall. As of augusst 22, 2005 my air is still not working properly. We went on a short trip and were stuck in a traffic jam. Once again the air would not blow cold while we were sitting. I know this is not right because when we first got the car, the air worked great. I am really frustrated with this car,I just keep waiting for the next thing to go wrong. I have also had to replace my braked pads and had the left front rotor turned. I think Mazda owes us all of us that have purchased these cars and had major problems a big apology . And should replace these vehicles, which I know will never happen.
