Consumer has had sensor in the abs system replaced twice. *** no answer required*** the vehicle made a loud bang/squeaking and or rubbing sound, then the traction control system warning light illuminated followed by the abs warning light. This was an intermittent problem.

While traveling on highway and applying brakes, there was a loud grinding noise coming from wheel. Dealership was aware of problem. Consumer found that the problem was with the brakes/rotors, and tires. Two weeks later the back springs on tires had been replaced. Also the battery had gone dead, and the brakes still squeak.

Consumer states that the vehicle has a brake problem due to problems from the rear brake on the back wheels, brakes began making a dragging noise, front brakes were replaced in Aug 2001 at 21000 miles, the dragging noise came back in March 2002, dealer stated new pads were needed, dealer stated calipers were bad due to noticing brake fluid residue on the brake caliper around the caliper rubber seal.
My Mitsubishi Galant has had two brake jobs one on 11/14/00 at 12366 miles then the next on 3/02/00 front and rear brakes I now feel I have very little brakes at this date 5/20/01 with the miles at19913 it has only been 3500 miles since the brakes were done Mitsubishi cant explain to me why my brakes wont last . My car has alot of noise coming from the front end and has had this noise since I purchased the car I have drove other Galants and none have this noise I have told the dealer about the noise but they have no answers for me I have never heard of a car that goes for brakes so much.
A lot of force has to be applied to brakes for vehicle to stop.

Brake system had to be repaired approximately 5 to 6 times. Brake system was making a 'clunking and scraping' sound when consumer applied them at any speed. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
Brake system experienced many problems, rotors warped and replaced, rear brakes adjusted and cleaned, brake pads replaced, and booster was adjusted.
When applying the brakes, there was a loud squeeling noise & around 30 - 40 mph (on deceleration) steering wheel shakes; the front brake rotors were "found" to be the problem but immediately after leaving the mechanics, the problem with the shaking steering wheel continued.

Vehicle vibrates when brake is applied and pulls to the right or left too. Yh.
While driving at 55 mph powr steering pump went out. Also, when consumer applied the brakes they vibrated.
While driving at 50 mph another vehicle pulled in front of the consumer, into the same lane. Consumer applied the brakes, they failed and vehicle rear ended the other vehicle. Upon impact, driver's and passenger's air bags didn't deploy.
When driving at any speed and applying brakes, brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. Also, brakes are soft, and are working intermittently.
Brakes failed resulting in vehicle collision, no deployment of air bag during collision, resulting in injury.

The vehicle experienced brake problem, such as brake pads lining and rotors needed to be replaced every 2,000 miles, which caused extended stopping distance and could have resulted in an accident. The consumer has repeatedly replaced the brake pads and rotors every 2000 miles, the consumer was told by the salesman that there was a problem with the drum not having proper ventilation.
Front and rear brakes leaked.
While driving in the rain, slammed on brakes and the engine shut off. Also the steering locked up and vehicle had a head-on accident and the air bag did not deploy. This happened all in the same day.
While trying to stop vehicle the brake pedal went all the way to the floor which caused the vehicle to hit another vehicle , when the two vehicles hit the air bag did not deploy.
Abs, brake failure, extended stopping distance , calipers where missing bolts.
While driving braking system malfunctioned, causing pulsation and extended stopping distance which may result in an accident. Also, dealer replaced brake pads and rotors which have been replaced 5 times. The dealer will now no longer make repairs under warranty. Dealer said that the rotors are made of poor quality steel, which is causing the need for frequent brake repair.
Vibration in vehicle while braking.
Dealer replaced front brakes because they were shaking, 5 months later, front shakes started shaking again, dealer says this is normal.
Wheels locked up under moderate braking conditions without warning.

Braking system malfunctioned, causing extended stopping and a noise which may cause a crash. Also, engine idles and the accelerator screeches which may cause a crash. Please provide further information.
Consumer states after lengthy highway driving and when braking feels some pulsation in brake pedal and steering wheel shimmies during braking. Vibration can also be felt in passenger seatback. Dealer found runout of rotors and tires were balanced. However problem still exist.
