On a long commute, I began hearing a scaping sounds as I maneuvered the steering wheel. As time paseed it became louder and I noticed a wire sticking out between the steering wheel and the mount. It continued to become more and more undone. I also noticed my srs light is on. The light for the anti skid protection was showing both on and off, then eventually went out completely. Finally towards the end of my drive I was making a right hand turn and it accelerated for one second absent of my command to do so.

In 2007, horn would just blow on it's own at random times. Even though the battery was only one year old at the time, I replaced it again. Last week, 8/09/08 the horn just started blaring again while driving. It nearly caused an accident due to another car swerving out of the lane next to my vehicle and into my rear driver's side quarter-panel. Since the first instance, there seems to be electrical problems, as the radio and clock always reset, the trip odometer resets to zero, and the interior lights do not work. There are no blown fuses, and no damage to the electrical system. No one or business can seem to find the source of the problem. It will take over $5000 to rewire the car. As a working class citizen, and unemployed veteran, I don't have that kind of money, nor access to it. I have no choice but to drive an unsafe vehicle. I have also had problems with warping on the rotors (twice).
The contact owns a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant. While driving 30 mph, the vehicle was experiencing severe vibrations on the front end of the driver side. The front driver and passenger side rotors were extremely warped. All of the parts attached to the brakes are damaged. The current and failure mileages were 110,000 miles. The dealer has not diagnosed the failure.

I have a 2002 Galant, it was the first brand new car I bought for myself, the brakes squeaked the first day I've had to get the breaks done twice already and it only has 64,000 miles I've also gone through 2 sets of tires I'm about to buy new tires this week. In the last 2 months I've noticed it drives a lot harder now, there's odd noises coming out of the engine and it sounds like something is rubbing on the front tires when I drive. It pulls to the left really bad when I brake. If it's idling it sounds like it's struggling for air and shakes a little. I'm not even done paying for this car yet.

My car had around 11,000 miles on it (2003 Mitsubishi Galant ES) when the brakes started to make a thumping noise. I brought the car to the dealership and was told the brakes are still fine, but the brakes put on in the factory are cheap brakes and a lot of people with Galant's are having the same issue. I have 12,000 miles on the car and the noise is getting worse. If my brakes are still good, what is going on?.
I have developed a consistent squealing of my front brakes with only 12,500 miles on my 2004 Galant LS. I recently took my car back to dealer for scheduled maintenance and reported this to dealer. Dealer said they could not recreate this problem. When bringing the TSB's for this vehicle and complaints similar to this problem, advisor said to bring it back and he would investigate it further. When pulling out of dealership, the squealing began immediately. What is up with this inattention to what could be a potentially serious problem? I am tired of dealers trying to pass the blame on the materials being used in place of asbestos.

While driving the brakes squeak very badly. Consumer took the vehicle to the repair shop. She was told that the air pressure was very low and that this could have been caused by moisture.
Brakes.
I've been replacing my brakes and rotors since 93 about every 6 months it's getting out of hand, the dealer tells me I've had my recalls fixed and we argued over it but I know it hasn't been fixed. I think because it's to many of them which the dealer will lose out on time and money. I tired of replacing my brakes. Pls help!.

I purchased a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES from dunphy Mitsubishi in havertown, PA February 18, 2002. A couple of days later my brakes started to squeak, I called dunphy Mitsubishi and scheduled an appointment for service. After the service center sprayed my brakes days later they began to squeak again, I placed another call and was told by dunphy service department that their will be a remedy to solve the problem and I will receive a notice shortly. Well, I still have not received a notice and my brakes continues to squeak and I'm concerned for my safety. So, I called peruzzi Mitsubishi in fairless hills, PA and explained what I was told by dunphy Mitsubishi and was advised that their was not a remedy and I was lied too by dunphy Mitsubishi.
Right rear tire hit hole or bump in parking. Activated anti-lock braking for first time since buying car in 2001. Lost steering control at same time. Couldn't turn it. Stopped before entering highway. Put car in park; then drive and slowly took off. Steering returned to normal. Dangerous situation if I was in traffic or meeting another vehicle while attempting to exit parking lock. Faint odor of fuel. No obvious leak on ground.
Defroster systems lacks sufficient air flow. Additionally, the front disc brakes were completely worn at 7,070 miles.

The vehicles brakes squeaked when they were applied. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined that the brakes were fine and that it was normal for the brakes to squeak. Please describe further.
