2 Brake Squeaking Noise problem of the 2017 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 03/16/2019

I purchased my car in 2018, in February of 2019 I had my front brakes changed, not even two months later the squeaking noise started again on the same front brake mechanic told me they was defected brake pads so he changed them and place some new ones on the car. Now I picked my car up from shop and two days later the brakes are squeaking again. I've inquired with others who has the same model car and they informed me that they have been having the same problems at this point I think this is something that needs to be looked into because I shouldn't go through that many brake pads on a new vehicle. The squeaking usually take place when I press brakes to come to a stop.

4 Brake Squeaking Noise problem of the 2015 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 04/01/2016

I bought our 2015 Nissan Altima s brand new from fenton Nissan east, in del city, ok, in less than a year, the brakes starts making very loud squeaky noises, whenever the car is in motion, and I apply the brakes. I took this car to have it looked at, at hudiburg Nissan dealership, oklahoma city, ok and they did something to it that got rid of noise for a week, then, the high pitched noise came back, when in motion and I apply the brakes. A little later, I took my car to fenton Nissan east dealership in del city, and the service woman said "I have lots of customer complaints about these Nissan Altima cars and there is nothing that can be done but switch out the brake system and replace it with another. She said it would cost me $400. 00 or live with the noise. " I believe this is a hazardous issue that should be fixed before someone gets killed because the brakes are not working properly. Today, December 14, 2017 the high pitched noise is pretty constant, whenever I drive the car and apply my Nissan Altima s brakes. God forbid, that I ever have to apply my brakes quickly. Yes, I am afraid that my brakes will give out, in the event of an emergency.

5 Brake Squeaking Noise problem of the 2008 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 07/15/2008

I would like to report a chronic brake problem I have had with my 2008 Nissan Altima, since the date of purchase in may of 2008. To date, I have had to bring in the car for repairs ranging from squealing noises right down to out and out grinding which began only 3-4k miles after I purchased the car. After the first several repairs, which did absolutely "nothing' as I noticed the brakes squealing still just days after I brought the car in, the car dealership advised me there was a technical service bulletin (TSB) issued which required them to perform a 'complete" brake pad replacement, which included brake pads, rotors and brand new replacements of all other parts that the brakes use. Since that time, the brakes continue to make this annoying squealing noise and when the dealership is questioned about it, they simply revert back to what they told me the very first time I called them about this 3-4 months after I bought the car, which was that this sound was normal with all cars and was nothing to be alarmed about, which sounded totally preposterous to me and was even proven incorrect months later after the initial complaint when they advised me there was that technical service bulletin (TSB) issued regarding this problem which resulted in the aforementioned complete overhaul repair. It was noted that, among other reasons, this occurs as a result of the problem is caused by the semi-metallic pads used by Nissan and/or other cheap or poor quality brake products used. From what I have learned there have been "three" TSB's issued relating to brake problems with the 2008 Nissan Altima as follows: ntb07-003c murano and Altima; squeak noise when brake pedal is pressed. Ntb08-047 Altima: rear brake noise at slow speeds ntb08-057 2007-2008 Altima; front brake noise at slow speeds.

6 Brake Squeaking Noise problem of the 2005 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 05/15/2006

: the contact stated while accelerating the transmission hesitates to shift. And when it shifts, it is a rough transition. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who changed the ground wire. This did not correct the problem therefore the dealer determined the transmission needed to be replaced. Also, while depressing the brake pedal the brakes squeaked and when driving at 10 mph the brakes made a squeaking noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on four occasions. The first time dust was blown off the brakes. On the second and third visit the brake pads were replace. The fourth time, the brakes were determined to be 'glazed' and nothing could be done to repair the problem.
