3 Underhood Wiring problem of the 2003 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 09/11/2006

I was at a stop light ready to turn left onto another street when suddenly my car stalls out right in the middle of the intersection. It took me a few times to get my car started again and when it fired up again I started driving away but my car would be having a hard time going as if it was starting to bog out. I later did a diagnostics test and got the code p0335 which ended up being the crankshaft position sensor. A few weeks before this happened, my car had the same symptoms but it wasn't as bad. It would just bog down like once in 2 weeks but this was the worst case scenario!.

4 Underhood Wiring problem of the 2003 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 08/30/2006

1) events that have happened are that my service engine light has turned on and my car has turned off while I am driving it on the road. It has been dangerous for my family. The a/c has stopped working also. My car is a 2003 Nissan Altima 2. 5 sl. 2. ) I have contacted Nissan to find out what the price is to have my vehicle checked and its too high. For a car that is only three years old and that I am still paying on I should not be having these kinds of problems. I took my vehicle to one of the auto parts to have the check engine light checked and was told that its the speed sensor and the crankshaft sensor but they do not guarantee anything. I went ahead and ordered the parts and now I will have to find a mechanic that is not too expensive to have the parts replaced.

10 Underhood Wiring problem of the 1996 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 05/18/2001

I had just moved off from the light, when about half-way down the block, thick white smoke began billowing from under my hood onto my windsheild. I quickly pulled over, and abandoned the car. Because I yanked the hood release on my way out of the car, I say bright yellow flames under the side of the hood. Per the ft. Lauderdale fire dept inspector, there was an electrical short in the area of the radiator fans. That short caught the neighboring wires, radiator fan and other engine components on fire. My insurance company and the Nissan dealer repair shop all agreed that this was what happened. The repairs cost about $7100 and 2 months to fix. I thank god for saving my life. I think it was a manufacturer defect that caused it. The manufacture can contact plantation Nissan in plantation florida regarding this incident. I pray that Nissan can use this information to help design safer cars. I just traded the car because I felt I could no believe in its reasonable safety. Please note: in four years, this was the first major problem that I had with the car.
