My daughter was in an accident where she struck another vehicle. She was traveling between 35-40 mph. Her airbag did not deploy. Her face and chest struck the steering wheel. She suffered a concussion and whiplash.

I took my truck in to a dealership to fix the airbag recall. I do not believe they fixed it because the airbag light is still on on my dash board. It is the only light on as this truck is low miles and regularly maintained. . I asked them and they just said, "we fixed it. " however, they did not.

When someone is sitting in passenger seat the light for their airbag blinks, is on or off. So we are unsure if the airbag would in fact deploy if we were to be in a collision.

In a no fault accident, I was passenger. When the collision happened, I was wearing seatbelt, and then I was up in the dash/ windshield, there were flames, smoke. The airbags had "exploded" the seatbelt was hanging out of the passenger door after I exited. Still dangling out the door where it did not retract. I busted the windshield with my head, concussion, four teeth porcelain knocked out of them, and many other problems. It's very scary , I want this to please be investigated because I don't want anyone else to have to go through this.

Air bag light began blinking. I brought it to a Nissan dealer for service and that have replaced and charged me for multiple parts in excess of $2,000. 00. They stated my car was ready and repaired. Upon picking up my car the light was still blinking. They stated it's additional parts and cost to finish repair but if I wanted the car for the weekend I can have it and return when the parts come in. They were going to give my car back to me with a defective air bag system which I feel is extremely unsafe. They also damaged my front bumper which they had to repair. I don't feel they changed out some parts they charged me for. The car has been with them for repair since 08/22/2024. Nissan is not standing behind their product or safety.

The passenger dashboard airbag keeps generating error codes and the airbag light continually flashes. There have been 2 costly repair attempts by a Nissan dealership, but the problem persists. The dealership stated the passenger airbag was not functioning properly. They want to try a 3rd repair attempt which is the most expensive yet. I have been in contact with Nissan customer service and they have split the repair costs with me thus far on 2 of the repairs. At this point they are just throwing parts at the problem hoping something fixes the issue without knowing or properly diagnosing which component is actually at fault. The problem first manifested in August 2024 at around 62k miles. The light came back on within 5 days of the first attempt. Likewise the light came back on within a few days after the 2nd repair attempt. I am not confident the 3rd attempt will address the issue either.

Passenger airbag warning light is on and will not turn off on the panel after 7 seconds, as the owner manual states. This has been happening for 3 days so far. I has never turned off since it was first noticed.

Two weeks ago I received a recall for an airbag emblem issue for my vehicle. I set an appointment and in the time leading up to my appointment the airbag warning sensor came on. When I went in for the recall they repaired the recall but the warning light did not go off. They stated that there are two issues with my airbag the emblem was not the cause of the sensor going off. They claim it is the airbag module. They would not cover that repair even though the emblem led to the airbag module going bad. This is the second airbag recall on airbags( previous was in 2008). The cost for an airbag module is over $1000 and I find that unacceptable.

On January 25, 2024 my son was driving this truck and hit a dog on the highway. His driver side airbag deployed, the driver side seatbelt would not retract, and there was some minor body damage. The engine of the vehicle is fine and completely operational. Since then, we have been waiting for repairs to be made. Per usaa, repairs will be approx $5000 or less. The vehicle is worth over $12,000 so they decided to repair it. The problem is that part number 98820-zp78a (air bag control module) is no longer being manufactured by Nissan. All other parts, including the *actual* air bag can still be purchased from Nissan, but they are not making the sensor we need to fix this vehicle. We are not the only ones who cannot obtain this part.

I was driving southbound freeway I 35 in oklahoma city at around 60mph lost control of my vehicle and crashed into the median barrier that divides both freeways crashed head on and the airbags. Not even one of them deployed hit my head with the steering wheel and driver passenger door window.

I have not called the local service dealer, but I have contacted their consumer hotline, and they said I would have to pay. I have 45,000 miles. I just never saw an airbag go bad so early.

In summer 2023 driving on uneven country road in upstate new york hit a pothole and my airbag warning light came on. Then started to flash. Truck is still drivable but now the seatbelts no longer lock in place during a sudden stop did research online Nissan has a voluntary service campaign for this exact issue. Campaign id p7318 I made appointment with koeppel Nissan. Had to wait weeks then they canceled my scheduled appointment on September 4 and reschedule for September 12. Probably not safe to drive truck with airbag light on and seatbelt issues. I go to my regular mechanic. He tells me seatbelt retractors do not seem to be working. He tests them by extending seatbelt slowly. Then tugging hard. He said they should lock in place. They do not. He also put a scan tool into obd port. There are zero codes nothing showing why airbag light flashing. Informs me there is a 10 year warranty on seatbelts. He said wait for dealer to do their replacement of air bag diagnostic sensor unit. He said the airbags deploy in stages. Your light coming on is first stage second stage is seatbelt locking in place. Yours did not lock in place but your retractor might have been damaged or a sensor in buckle part of seatbelt related to airbags. On September 12 I bring truck in. The dealer first tries to tell me there is a diagnostic fee of $200. I refuse to pay telling them it is a Nissan voluntary service campaign and seatbelts are under warranty. They agree to waive fee. They call me up an hour or two later said “they are unable to perform recall the software update is no longer available. The problem with seatbelt related to software or sensor unit”. I complain to Nissan of America. The person on phone tells me a manager will call me back and e mail me. Case number 49514132 I have never received a call or e mail from anyone at Nissan regarding this safety issue. Perhaps a full recall is necessary for all affected vehicles under campaign id p7318.

We were told about the recall, never got a recall letter in the mail. When we went to Nissan, they said they couldn’t help us if only we had the recall letter.
