Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Nissan Frontier based on all problems reported for the Frontier.
The cooler tubes for the transmission and the radiator cracked, allowing for fluid to leak into the transmission. This resulted in rapid degradation of the friction elements within the transmission. The Frontier is now undrivable.

The evidence of engine and power transfer evidently progressed over of days and regressed within a matter of hours, then minutes to the point where engine would barely start and obviously barely propel the truck over 10 mph w/engine dying out regardless of throttle or automatic shift position. I limped the vehicle to the nearest respected and qualified tech bob wells -total car care. This is the second time Nissan's lack of "due diligence" left customer down, all within a year or so. A frustrating, time consuming, and costly experience.

One day it will run fine and then the next day it will mess up again. It was taken 2 years before by consumer's husband purchased the vehicle new. Consumer had to drive on the shoulder of road to get her vehicle home . Consumer took vehicle to a total car care center and was told that the codes that were showing up were egr system problem.
